Aloft Montreal Airport

The shuttle bus driver that day (11th morning) is a racist. There were altogether two passengers on the bus (including me). The driver kindly asked another passenger at which gate he would like to alight. Then, when arrived, that passenger alighted and gave the driver tips. The driver then shouted at me: “you, get off here!” And then asked me, “any tips?” Of course in this case, I would not tip. I didn’t answer and simply alighted there as he said. And then he said, “fxxking Asian”. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

I always come to Aloft when I’m in Montreal which is once’s a month. I have been here on many occasions yet I made the mistake to try a different hotel last month. What a massive mistakes it was. It wasn’t as friendly, clean, well equipped and didn’t feel like “home away”. Aloft never fails you .. I am reluctant to write this review cause I would hate the price to go up, but this place is a Gem !

No ovens in the rooms

This is not a 4 Star hotel. Hotel was in a good location, airport shuttle was very helpful & staff (front desk/cleaners) were FANTASTIC & quick to respond. However, I will avoid staying here again. 1) Fruit flies all over the front desk area (especially at night), including on the food offered in the snack bar. I bought a salad from the snack bar & put it in my mini-fridge. A few hours later I opened the plastic container & 20 fruit flies ended up on my bed. I was so grossed out I threw the whole thing out. Told the front desk. Very nice gentleman immediately refunded the purchase & explained they were having some sort of infestation issue. 2) In a rush to get to an event. Realized there was no iron in my room at the last minute. Called the front desk. They had someone come up & check. Took about 25min to get one. Annoying. 3) The room is VERY basic/minimalist. I didn't mind this at all except for the bathroom. It has a curbless shower - something that is RARE in a hotel (I travel A LOT). It looked like a high school/hockey stall shower! Be prepared for shower water to flow out all over the bathroom floor next to the toilet. 4) Uber Eats does not deliver to this hotel. Annoying because the snack bar options are limited (+ flies), & the bar only offers a few 'pub style' options & is only open from 5pm-11pm. 5) Expect loud/random noise (am/pm) from the outside parking lot (to be fair the hotel cannot control this)

Housekeeping was amazing. Other than that everything else was far below average. Room was small and the price was high. I will not be staying there again

The room layout was such that kitchenette is so close to bathroom. Bathroom door doesn't close and wet/dry areas have no separation. Water will run off to dry area since shower section is not isolated.

Perfect airport hotel for YUL.

This was a very comfortable and clean stay. Great for a stay close to YUL. The shuttle runs every 30 mins and got me to the airport for a very early flight. The food and drink at XYZ was also tasty with friendly staff.

Internet good , pool great , little cute store but no restaurant

This hotel is awesome! I had never heard of the Aloft brand so I wasn’t sure but the reviews were good so I chose it. The hotel is AMAZING value for money. It’s super clean and the beds are frankly some of the comfiest beds I have ever slept in. It’s hard to imagine how much more you might get at another airport hotel that could possibly be worth the price. Easy to book, easy shuttle to and from YUL, and I would 100% stay here again.
