Bayview Hotel

Great hotel in a great location, all the staff were great but the front desk staff went the extra mile to make me feel welcome each day I stayed. The help I received with what restaurants were near was very much appreciated and the breakfast was really good.

Can’t complain with this hotel. When we want to head up the mountain, Bayview is always on our list. Breakfast is standard and generous. It is also pet friendly, pool with slide.

Check in was fantastic, friendly staff the entire time we were there and breakfast was always full.

Second time staying at this hotel. Very friendly staff. Check in was smooth with only a small hiccup on expedias end, not on the hotel side. This was quickly mitigated. The rooms are spacious and the bed is very comfy! Love staying here and look forward to staying here again.

The staff were so friendly and the pool was an extra bonus for the kids! Didnt have to worry about breakfast ideas! Definitely coming back soon!

Everything was great, friendly and helpful reception. The only downside was the breakfast, which was cheap and tasteless. But I can overlook that.

My family and I were in town for a celebration of life. We all booked at the Bayview so we could be together. The kids had a blast in the pool/waterslide. The staff were so wonderful and accomodating, even asked us if we wanted them to try and get us all on the same floor. Then they gave us the use of the room where they hold the continental breakfasts so that my family and I could be together. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also wonderful. It was nice waking up and having that part of the day dealt with before traveling back down island. They really made an experience I had been dreading easier on all of us, and they didnt even know we were there for a funeral service. They were just helpful.

It's a great place to stay in Courtenay. This former, Holiday Inn Express is clean and comfortable with a generous free breakfast. We've stayed many times, recently and when it was a Holiday Inn. Our only complaint are the smart TVs in the rooms. They have many options for connecting your own device or signing in to your personal favorite subscribed movie channel but the basic cable TV menu is almost impossible to navigate. The remote control is small and lacks a dedicated volume button. In fact, the remote control is almost impossible to use even for navigating the other TV options. I'm computer savvy and experienced with may different remotes and other hotel TVs but this system coupled with the remote has to be the worst ever! For anyone just wanting to find a few shows to watch on cable (as has been the norm in hotels for decades) this TV system is sorrily lacking. I even went online to find an operator's manual and it was like learning another language. Otherwise, the room was comfortable and the hotel amenities are good.

We have stayed here before. The front desk staff were amazing I give them 5 stars. The beds were clean and comfortable, spacious room and bathroom. Carpets could do with a cleaning or be removed all together since these are the pet friendly rooms. 0nly thing that lost the overall 5 star rating were the housekeeping team. They were very loud as the went about their work, shouting and laughing. I am glad they are happy but I needed a bit of extra sleep.
