Canadas Best Value Inn River View Hotel

Pretty rundown. Horrible view out window of garbage behind building. All exits blocked with caution tape except lobby. Weird.

The Japanese restaurant was very good.

Run down, smells horrible, not clean and did not feel safe. Would not ever recommend a place like this.

the area was filled with hookers and druggies, the building was borderline pay by the hour, I had been in a tent fir 2 weeks and I would have been more comfortable in it and felt safer. we left at 2 am because of the noise and overheated room

3 beds in one room…hard to find normally

Front staff were nice, checked us in and out fast. Beds were comfortable, but the floors were warped and the fan they had in room for A/C was broken.

Adequate for the price but there are better options in the same neighbourhood. It's a dusty, shabby hotel that needs more TLC. Beds and bath were clean. My room was frigidly cold in July, and coffeemaker was broken.

The outside of the facility was circumspect, the room was gorgeous! Great place to stay once your in your room.

Property was next to the Yukon River I reserved a double Queen, she gave me a rm with a queen and 2 small singles. I showed her my reservation for 2 queens and she said Im sorry someone changed it and if i didnt like it I should go to Quality Inn!!!! On a long motorcycle trip I didn't have time to look around and they said a refund would have to come from expedia so we stayed. Disgusting place

Bathroom needs to be updated

The hotel is in desperate need of a facelift. I arrived to my room and figured it would suffice for the night, although it was extremely overpriced. You can hear and feel the springs in the mattress. Walls are paper thin and do not keep out any noise. Management should invest in a fan in the room because it is stifling hot, even after opening the window. The next morning I went to shower and the cold water would not turn on. The hot water was scalding and I was unable to shower. Unfortunately, I was in a bit of a hurry and had to check out. The staff member did not seem surprised and simply said she would contact maintenance. No effort was made to make things right. Save your money and stay at a campground and you’ll be just as comfortable. Or… book ahead when the nicer hotels are not full.

We really liked the location of this property. It was easy to walk to a number of restaurants and to walk along the river front. The room was basic and clean. Would stay again.

I would tell people to not judge a book by its cover. Although the property looks a bit worn on the outside, it is plush and comfy on the inside. Lived up to its billing and I would stay again if I am in the area.

The other reviews are not giving it the credit it deserves. For what we paid we were very happy with the spacious room, the friendly staff and despite the few lingering folks outside the 98, the local in Whitehorse was fantastic, walkable to everything we needed(no vehicle) I was a bit worried about past reviews but I was pleasantly surprised with hotel

Our room smelled like cigarettes and unfortunately so did the sheets and bedding. The walls are very thin, you will hear everything your neighbor does. The front desk staff was very kind.

The only thing I liked about this property was that the guy at the counter was very friendly and personable. Everything else was terrible. The whole building is run down and filthy and the entire building including the room smelled like cigarette smoke
