On our journey from Labrador to Edmonton, we made a nice stop in Thunder Bay. Interestingly, before this, we had a short detour through Oklahoma! 😄
In Thunder Bay, we stayed two nights with the family. The beds were super comfortable, and even though our room was on the second floor, it was easy to step out and enjoy a walk outside. The area felt safe and peaceful.
I also took the opportunity to get our Kia serviced—everything went smoothly. The kids especially loved watching planes take off and land nearby—it really got them excited! 🛫
To top it off, we found a few great restaurants, especially a Chinese place I really enjoyed. All in all, a restful and fun break in Thunder Bay.

Overall the hotel was good. Although we had a non-smoking room, we could smell smoke and marijuana in the hall and stairwell. The room was clean and the checkout staff was friendly.
Breakfast had scrambled eggs, bacon, taters, toast, danishes, waffle station and other items. That’s was good start of day.

And coin operated washer and dryer were not working.
