The hotel staff were super helpful and friendly.
Unfortunately, I booked this hotel for the pool and it wasn’t working. Apparently, according to other guests who stay often….the pool is never working, and neither is the elevator. That’s really frustrating after a day on the road, and looking for a way to burn some energy for the kids. It was so disappointing.

We have stayed here for three years in a row for a single night on route to a final destination in PEI. It bums to say but each year the place shows it age more and more - it needs investment and updating sooner than later. A crack in the bathroom floor this year added to the accumulated evidence of slow decline. The staff was as usual great - a broken elevator was not their fault, but that, too, was just another reflection that the owners need to invest. (It is an aged, rickety elevator even when in service.) Alas, this was our last year staying on site unless we learn of improvement.

We arrived after 12 in the night from travelling. The receptionist came out of the back sweating profusely and looking a little disoriented. He informed us then that the elevator wasn't working and we were in the fourth floor. The lobby didn't look clean, the staircase was dirty as we climbed 4 floors with our luggage. Had it not been after 12 in the night I would not stay there. By the time we got to the room I didn't trust the cleanliness as everything before seemed dirty. In the morning the elevator was still not working and this time the staircase was wet, so now we had to go down a wet staircase with our luggage. Would never stay here again. The room was also loud and some air freshener was discharging all night which irritated me as I am sensitive to scents.

I prepaid the hotel on the Expedia app and my credit card was also charged for a higher amount on the day of my checking. However the staff on shift at the hotel promptly reversed it when I told her what happened. If I hadn’t got and notice from my bank I would never have noticed.
The hotel in old and in need of updates, but was reasonably clean.

Breakfast is included but is not that good. It's mostly bread, cereal and hard eggs. Options could be improved. The building is old, we heard the cracking wood when walking. There was even a water leak in the WC and shower. Mobiliarity seams to be from the 90's. We were there when the elevator was being replaced but we decided to stay there because was the best option price/near ev charger around Fredericton, and for one night was OK.

It is in the slow process of being updated but lots of rooms to go yet. The elevator is now completely out of service, which is par for the course. I stay there 3-4 times per year for up to 2 weeks at a time and I think it’s worked once or twice. This stay the bathroom had no hook on the door just a broken bracket, the towel rod was bent, grout missing from a good number of the floor tiles. The light fixture in the entry was full of dead bugs. Carpets are frayed. Vending machines half empty. I stayed 4 nights and only after my 3rd night did housekeeping come in and give me fresh towels. The other days no one so much as knocked and asked if I needed anything.
It’s an old hotel, 2-2.5 star and charges 4 star rates.
The breakfast is decent, the pool is ok, no hot tub. The restaurant is good. Only hotel in town so no competition.

The staff at the front desk were very nice and helpfull. But the fact that the elevator was not working, and we were on the 4th floor was very disappointing. She offered to carry up our bags but was i really going to ask her to carry heavy suitcases. No. The room was fine and clean. The parking was easy and close to the door. Someone kept setting off their car alarm from about 7am in the morning on a Sunday. Not the hotels fault but again frustrating. Ice maker at end of hallway was slow but did work. Overall the stay was fine for a 2 star hotel all things considered.
