This is a side of the road hotel, which is clearly comfortable and is attached to a sports bar that had decent food for our purposes.

We had a room right by the elevator, that’s all we heard the whole time we were in the room. Didn’t love that at all.

A lot of damage in the room when I arrived. Towel rack hanging off wall on one end, plaster hole in bathroom on wall, brown stains/marks on bathroom mirror, cracked mirror in main room, some sort of string coming from side of mirror next to bed. Overall unkept room.

So old and outdated. Carpets had buildup of gunk. Holes in the walls. Coke machines from the 70s. Fridge FROZE everything. Heater barely worked or was overly hot....

The beds looked newer and were clean. Staff was friendly. The rest of the hotel needs to be completely gutted and renovated. Flies stuck to ceiling tiles in hallway. Dim lightning. Hotel seems to have more permanent residents than guests smoking outside the second entrance that has left that entire a hallway entrance smelling like smoke. It is the only hotel to stay at in Renfrew.

The gentleman that greeted us was lovely and knowledgeable. Our room was very dingy; wallpaper is peeling, holes in the curtains, stains in the bathroom, etc. The communal shampoo and condition in the shower is super gross. I was also extremely disappointed since the room listing clearly says “private spa tub,” when in reality it’s just a basic bath tub. We paid the extra amount thinking there was a much nicer bathroom. And although it’s not technically the hotel’s fault, being woken up at 2:30am to our downstairs neighbour’s dog barking was ridiculous. Likely won’t be staying again and it was unfortunately a huge waste of money, and our room was falsely advertised.
