Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Thunder Bay

We booked the hotel for the hot tub and pool unfortunately the hot tub was cold and broken, no signs or anything posted, only 2 jets worked at the ankles area, the pool was ok I guess warmer then the hot tub but either way I needed to shower. When I asked the staff they had already known of the issue and didn’t know when it was going to be fixed. The room was clean though

Only one big problem the breakfast is the worst. The eggs are cold and watery could not eat them even after heating them up in the microwave still watery. The milk for the cereal was room temperature warm. The sausage is poor quality. Coffee is also awful. Ended up having orange juice and a hard boiled egg and that had some age on it. If you can’t do better than this don’t offer it

Property is old and tired

The hotel room lobby halls and elevator carpets had stairs. The building smelled unpleasant. The free breakfast was disgusting and hardly editable. The eggs were a strange texture and still frozen. The pool was okay but the hot tub jets were not working. The hotel room was not cleaned properly. Crumbs on the ground still.

What we liked....the staff were very pleasant to deal with. The tea and coffee were hot and available 24/7. The bathroom was clean. The location was very central with easy access in all directions. What we didn't like... The white comforter had mascara lash marks and some dirty brown marks on it. The room was very humid and the carpet felt wet. There was a large greasy dirt mark on the drapes that looked like a piece of pizza had been tossed at it. The air conditioner was very loud so sleep was interrupted. Lots of noise from the room upstairs. For our first breakfast the hot items had not been delivered that day so we had to have cereal or toast. We asked for a discounted rate due to all the problems but we were not offered any kind of compensation. This was not a pleasant experience for us. Not at all what was advertised on the website.

Hotel hallways and elevator carpet were very dirty and stained. The pool area along with pool and hot tub were very dirty and stained .

Nothing unique just good

Easy to get to and quiet.

All the carpet in this hotel needs to be ripped up and replaced. There were stains everywhere on the carpet and the tile at the main entrance looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a month. While the staff was courteous this hotel needs some deep cleaning and updates.
