The front desk staff were polite and friendly. The bad review is due to the general state of the room. the mattress was old and had sunk on one side making it uncomfortable. Also found very long hair (I was alone and am short hair) on my pillows and in bed. Water doesn't drain properly in the tub, therefore water accumulates to your ankle while you shower.
In general, I'd say it is quite expensive for a not-so-good hotel. You can probably find better for the same price.

The staff was excellent but there was a hockey team staying on the same level as us and they were very noisy. Doors opening and closing chatting in the hallway. 1:30am it started. Needless to say we didn't get very much sleep. Some of the bread for breakfast was moldy. I pointed it out and it was taken care of. Don't think we'd stay there again.
