Great location in the Inner Harbour area. Walking distance to many local areas including Chinatown, Government Street shopping, and fisherman’s wharf. One of the best cocktail bars in town - Humboldt - is on the street level. Friendly staff and clean modern rooms - great alternative to some of the other more expensive hotels in that area.

Hotel is centrally located, close to the harbour, shops and restaurants. Starbucks, restaurant, Pub and lounge make the start and finish to your day complete. Breakfast was great, but often had more people than seats which lead to waiting or taking your breakfast back up to your room. (If the elevators work) ** Large Construction project going up beside the hotel which leads to excessive noise starting at 7:00am ** No mention of this on Hotels.com when booking - but it is noted on the hotel website. This will likely continue for the next few months so be aware on timing from this review Elevators here need some maintenance, there are 3 elevators which should be more than enough, however for the 7 days we stayed, never were all 3 working, and often it was just limited to 1 - which makes getting up and down a process and many unhappy faces. We were on the 9th floor and always walked down, but after a full day wandering the city, walking up 10 flights wasn’t appealing so we waited. Rooms are not very soundproof to the goings on of a big city. Our balcony door was off the track which added to the noise, and maintenance was unable to repair so we moved rooms. The staff were apologetic and accommodating. Overall a good stay - I’m sure most the issues noted aren’t ongoing issues, just timed out that way for us. Would likely look at this hotel again on our next trip.

Located in the heart of Victoria. Everything was walkable. Starbucks was super convenient for the caffeine fix. Mur, one of the parking attendants, was very helpful in suggesting points of interest from a ‘local’s’view. All the staff were great.

We had never been to Victoria, BC and this hotel was perfect. We walked everywhere except the Buchart Gardens. We highly recommend this hotel!!

Excellent hotel.

The hotel is dated, there is construction & views are now obstructed. The staff were not that friendly, the lobby is so small & I'm surprised the elevators meet code as they were very small & we had to wait so long to get one. We even had to walk up many flights to get to our floor as 2 of the elevators weren't working. The location was great however, walking distance to anywhere wanted to go downtown. The Greek restaurant across the street was exceptional.

Great stay in the heart of Victoria. Around the corner from the inner harbor and empress hotel, hop on hop off bus, restaurants and easy. Staff was responsive, comfy beds, enjoyed our suite. Only issue - sliding glass door to the small balcony was jammed. Maintenance came but I couldn’t open again after he left. Shd have two small chairs or stools on patio.
