Staying right at the airport at the Fairmont was amazing. The rooms were quiet, clean and up to date. The convenience of being able to catch an early morning flight was well worth the extra money. The soaking tub was nice and big making for a relaxing night before a hectic day of travel.

I will request a handicap room if I stay here again:
Negatives:
1. No grab bars in the marble shower, only small knob on inside of shower door, and floor was slippery
2. Shower water handle was extremely hard to pull on (initially thought the shower was broken)
3. No tub grips in the tub made it difficult to get out (very slick) plus only one grab bar on the separator wall was not well located
4. Had to call for an additional fridge for my medication - please note in the room description that the minibar fridge is pressure sensitive! Did not appreciate that surprise.

Conveniently located in terminal 1 only a short walk from arrivals area. Hotel staff were very helpful and efficient and porter had bags in the room before we got there. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Would recommend this hotel to anyone arriving late in Vancouver or traveling to another country. Best rate I found was about 6 weeks before arrival.
