Hilton Garden Inn Saskatoon Downtown

This property was nothing like it was advertised. You can’t even get in the front door without addicts approaching you. The parking lot was unsafe and I didn’t feel comfortable having my kids with me. Felt extremely uncomfortable. We canceled and went elsewhere

I liked that they had free bike rentals, it was too bad they only had 2 bikes which we barely fit, but they were useable. I was disappointed that the pool was unavailable during our stay.

Great hotel for downtown Saskatoon! Bar was great and very quick check in and out process.

I brought my family for my work trip to Saskatoon. The first hotel we booked had their pool under construction so we rebooked to Hilton Garden Inn. Upon arrival there was no mention of your pool being under construction, in fact on the contrary the signage posted said the pool was to reopen the day we arrived (Tuesday June 24th) we were never informed of a cost for parking. The first day out family for dressed to swim just to find scaffolding surrounding the pool area, we inquired what was happening and were told it would be open tomorrow (Wed) which never happened, again Thursday same story, Thursday evening we were told it wouldn't reopen until after our stay ended Friday!! The entire stay we were placed in a room directly beside a room being renovated waking us every morning by 7am with endless banging, drilling, and on and off horrid chemical smells! The night staff smoked cigarettes directly outside the entrance to the hotel which we had the great displeasure of having to walk through multiple times! Our children had to write their year end exams (homeschooled) while being endlessly interrupted by the construction! We also had no conditioner in our room upon check in, a broken hair dryer, a practically empty roll of toilet paper, and broken blinds... The front desk lady was lovely but had no information or authority to address any of these issues! Oh I almost forgot to mention the sleeping manon the floor in the hall that I encountered on the way into work!!

Nice property with good beds and pillows. Disappointed that this hot tub and pool were undergoing maintenance over a weekend. Would have been better if it was over a week or if the hotel would have emailed a heads up.

The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The building is being renovated, so the older rooms are dated but still clean. Had issues with the toilet flushing but it was eventually resolved.

***PARK AT OWN RISK*** Vehicle window was broken and things stolen from my brand new truck. While I understand that this is not their parking lot, I feel like since there is no other option to park your vehicle, they should increase the parking security. Surveillance cameras don’t help, as the Saskatoon police are too busy to deal with a simple issue as mine. The hotel itself is nice but you have to pay for your breakfast- so that sucked. The staff were helpful with the cleanup and temporary patch of my window. But I will never stay here again due to this experience.

The hotel is undergoing renovations right now and I would avoid until they are complete. I stayed in a room that is not renovated and they are in need of an update. The housekeeping staff does not appear to be able to stay on top of the drywall dust and debris that is being tracked into elevators and carpets on different floors. Renovation work starts at 7am and if your room is proximate to the renovations, like mine was, you will hear hammering and drilling start at that time. In general, the hotel does not present well at this time. Perhaps when renovations are completed it will be better.

The hotel was located near the mall and within walking distance of many, shops, restaurants, museums and the river. The staff was kind and very helpful.

Stay started off bad, wife went to have a shower and i went o park the car when maintenance walked in to look at the toilet. We didn’t report any issues witht he toilet as we hadn't been in there long enough to even know there was a problem. If that was the case, im wondering why we were put in that room in the first place. At the very least we should have been warned that maintenance would be stopping by to check things. As well, sound proofing at the room adjoining door needs to be better as we could hear our neighbors almost as if they were in

Always clean, never any problems checking in. Convenient

While the hotel itself was fairly nice in terms of appearance and amenities, my stay was extremely disappointing due to the noise level. I got maybe two hours of sleep, as the walls were paper thin and guests were screaming and running up and down the hallways all night. From midnight until 7am, it was impossible to rest. Unfortunately, the hotel staff did nothing to address the disruption. Overall, it felt like a big waste of money, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful night's sleep.

When booking this property, we were to stay there the Friday and Saturday nights. However, a mistake on my end, booked the Thursday as well. We did not arrive on Thursday. On Friday when we checked in, they canceled the rooms. With no call or email notification to state this. We were left scrambling to find new rooms at different hotels. With very minimal vacancy. When asked why they couldn’t at least phone to say this was occurring the manager stated “this is our policy”

Absolutely horrible. Started before check-in. Had to stop a fist fight right outside the doors. Homeless sleeping in the lobby and entrances. Check in was fast. Got given the wrong room. Paid o er$300 for a king suite and got 2 double beds. No refund was given. Construction was going on I. The room beside me. The noise was unbearable. Called front desk they offer nothing but said the noise would stop….eventually. At checkout I got asked by 4 different homeless people for money and when I refused got cussed at and thing thrown at me. THIS PLACE is a ripoff and very unsafe. Oh forgot about the vomit at the entrance, 100’s of cig butts and garbage everywhere outside. Staff just don’t care

It is unsafe. Our vehicle was broken into and damaged and we had multiple things taken.

There was renovations being done and the work crew started hammering at 530 AM on a Saturday which totally wrecked our sleep. The hotel could have offered some kind of discount or anything for the horrible inconvenience

Excellent service

The staff were just great, very friendly and helpful. However, the hotel was under renovation during our stay. There was a lot of noise every morning, and we even experienced a water cut. When we asked for compensation, the manager said we should have let them know earlier so they could change our room. But the issue wasn’t with the room — the noise and water problems affected the entire hotel. If we had known about the renovations in advance, we would have reconsidered staying here
