We had a wonderful stay. The staff was great, the food at the 41 was amazing! The room was clean and well maintained, but the pillows were not good!

Loved everything but the pool area was so loud but that has nothing to do with the hotel itself. It should emphasize on its history and even more I think. We loved to see the olds phones and old mail slot. The rooms were clean, very! And housekeeping staff was so nice and professional.

I would recommend the Lord Elgin for a short stay in Ottawa. It's a very comfortable, safe & clean hotel within reasonable walking distance of most of the city centre attractions. It is showing its age in a few areas, so it's not in the top league of hotels. But if you want and affordable and convenient hotel in central Ottawa, it is a very good choice.
