Great place to stay

I enjoy that there is a pool and it is close to everything.

Good stay there Great location

This was my first time at this hotel and this chain. I will go again. It is an older hotel and there are some things that need some work but you don't feel it is neglected. Reservation & registration went well. The room was clean and stocked with what I expected. Parking was tight but there were always a few spots available. The dining room had good solid, safe food. The kind my brother likes. :-) So if you are the kind who likes turkeys on white bread with potatoes and gravy then the meals are good. I liked them but would normally look for more spicy food. The seafood chowder was good. Overall an older hotel but I had a good feeling staying there and will go again.

Staff was nice, polite and helpful. Easy parking. Clean and quiet environment.

The staff was very friendly and the room was excellent.

I would love to know how people got clean rooms. I was greeted with a stench when I entered my room. There was trash on the side table. I had the choice between this hotel and other hotel chains in the area but decided I wanted to support local....regrettably. Once I saw the the pillows on the bed with head marks and dirt and hair all over them it was clear that someone just remade the bed and half way cleaned the room. I hate complaining but asked if I could move or at the very least have clean sheets. I was moved to a different room a few doors down and that room was a bit better, I felt confident the sheets were atleast clean. When I went to retrieve something that slipped under the bed I noticed a abundance of dirt, dust and even garbage. The pictures they show on the website are so deceiving. The room was so dinged up with half finished repairs. I was excited that the hotel had a restaurant, but after seeing the dirt and grime inboth rooms I didn't have the guts to dare eat out of their kitchen. Even the remote was caked in dirt.

All staff that I interacted with were very friendly

The building was old, but well maintained. The staff was excellent and friendly. The pool was nice as well. The location was perfect. Right in downtown within walking distance of all the eateries and shopping with a park and the harbor right across the street. The only drawback was the lack of parking. The back lot and side lots fill up fast, so be ready to lose your spot if you go out.

Staff was wonderful! Room service was great! The unsafe conditions and actions happening in the pool were my concern. No fault of the hotels, but the parents. Weighted dice rings were being thrown around like a frisbee. I was hit with one in the bridge of my nose, giving me 2 black eyes. I was holding my 2 year old granddaughter when it happened. So maybe put up a sign those things should not be allowed to be thrown around as they do have weight to them. What would have happened if it had hit my granddaughter in the face? The mom was too worried about whatever she was doing on her computer to worry about parenting. Anyways, as I said no fault of the hotels but very concerning. The room was a little dated. The lamp, the one plug in, and exhaust fan in bathroom didn’t work.

The entire experience was great overall. There were a couple of hiccups that the stall easly and quickly took care of.

Staff made the stay lovely - initially confusing as to where main entrance is in relation to parking , otherwise a great stay

Good price, a bit run down looking with water damage showing in various spots, great staff & great breakfast.

Property needs upgradation and some investment. Its a very old hotel but well managed.
