The room was immaculate. As for what was wrong when you stood in the shower the middle of the bathtub creeked when you are in it. I felt like i was going to the suite on floor two .

What a lovely hidden gem! Would certainly come back here. Right in the downtown area , staff was great , whole place was very clean and well maintained

Best kept secret. I'm a local and I love staying here. So quaint. Affordable. Love going to the whisky fest at Grand Pacific and stumbling out the back door to my crash pad at Royal Scot. Or having a birthday party here, taking advantage of all the amenities, falling asleep in a pile of warm smiles. See you next time.

Very spacious room. Loved the couch and two chairs.
It was perfect for my daughter and boyfriend to come and hang out with us for the evening. We had lots of room. Kitchenette is really a full kitchen with everything you need.
Look is a little older, but that is part of the ambience and what I liked.

The hotel is fine. I have a problem with the $20 parking fee. It just appears to be a hidden charge for unsuspecting customers.

We live only an hour away from Victoria, but come in once a year as a family staycation. Our usual hotel wasn't available this year, so we stayed here for the first time.
Would recommend. The price is good, and there's a lot of great guest services - a small library, a board game room, a dvd library with some eclectic choices, and a billiards hall. It also had a limited gift shop with various sundries, and a pool.
Our room came with a kitchenette, which was goog for making breakfast and lunch. It's in the heart of James Bay, so there's some great places nearby to eat, get groceries, beer, coffee, whatever. The location can't be beat if you're here to visit Victoria. It's barely a block away from the Inner Harbour!
The decor is definitely dated, so it has a bit of a retro vibe. If you're travelling in service of The 'Gram, you should walk on by. Otherwise, this hotel is great value for your money.
