We had two families and we enjoyed the well appointed suites with more space and kitchen. We had a very nice stay. Pool and gym were nice amenities. Grocery store down the street, close to marina and downtown, location is very desirable! The housekeeping staff was excellent!

The location is excellant and the staffs are very friendly and helpful! My flight got cancelled and I have to stay one more night on Friday. First, the staff at the front desk tried her best to make me stay in the same room possible without moving around. Second, the manager gave me the same rate since I have been there for 5 nights, tahts very kind! Everyone is so nice and friendly, tryed their best to make my stay comfortable. Thanks a lot to those who gave me your hands and tried to make my day when I was in trouble! Million thanks to you!

Comfortable, spacious room. They had all the amenities you’d need - a stocked kitchen, 2 TV’s, lots of rooms downstairs to hang out, a pool.
The room also had both composting AND recycling, which was welcome to see - not everyone bothers.
It’s also convenient - very close to the sites, but not right in them middle of everything so it’s quieter.
Plus, a great diner downstairs!

Great location! My only complaint was the lack of A/C. It got really hot and stuffy in the afternoon and overnight. There were fans in the room, but only a smallish windo that we could leave open at night.

As a resident of Vancouver Island, I'd be embarrassed to suggest anyone stay at the Royal Scot Inn. And then to be charged to park on your lot with itty bitty parking spaces. Good grief!!!
Our 8 year old grandson found the hide-a-bed uncomfortable.
And because our stay was so disappointing, I will also mention that our $400 stay for four people included ONE package of cookies.
And let's not forget the array of excuses as to why there was no AC installed during construction in 1970, or during renovations in 2004.

We stayed here for the July 4th long weekend. The staff was very nice. They accommodated early checkin and they also upgraded us to a suite. As others have mentioned, everything seems very old but it’s very charming and clean. The location is perfects. It’s close to everything and specially if you are taking the ferry, it’s a less than 5 min walk to the ferry terminal.

Room was pretty dated. Since we were staying 3 nights a room at the front side would have been appreciated. Had to prop fans in windows to get some air flow, but whatever, it worked well enough. The maid service was fantastic
