We had a great stay at the Sandman! We were greeted by Anisha upon arrival & she was lovely, ensuring we were completely satisfied with the room before confirming it for us. We had our dog with us & were grateful to be welcomed with him. As for the building condition, we recognize this is an older hotel so everything isn't shiny & new, but it was clean & nicely painted. No concerns here! I would certainly recommend this pet-friendly facility to anyone travelling to or through Williams Lake, B.C.

The room was clean, the staff was very friendly and my daughter enjoyed the pool. Would definitely stay here again.

The property is dated but comfortable. Could use a reno or facelift, as well as detailed cleaning. The hallways were quite dirty, walls marked up, etc., but the beds were very comfortable. The pool was very cloudy and we didn't feel comfortable going in. No hot tub which is odd. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The neighbourhood shows signs of the toxic drug crisis and economic depression, but just keep your car locked and mind your own business and you'll be fine. RCMP station right around the corner anyway.
The Denny's downstairs is fantastic. The server was lovely. I have two rowdy young kids and they were very patient with them and welcoming. Food was great. Overall, I would stay again when I'm passing through but it's certainly not a destination resort.

It was an easy quick stay, the area felt unsafe and we called local taxi as we drove all day, was told it would be 20 min. We waited around 35-40 min and decided to just drive as restaurants would be closing soon. Taxi company called and asked if we still needed them 🙈
Our room was far from clean, many hairs in bathroom, windows were filthy, bathroom sink was dirty and mirror had toothpaste sprays on it. Bathroom sink was plugged too. We didn’t even shower, just waited as I wouldn’t have felt very clean.
Staff was friendly enough, but when asked about safety, I was just told that every towns unsafe. Fair enough. No security on site. All at your own risk. No issues with safety but we were there for less than 12 hours.

I mean it was meh. The pool wasn't open, they offered us passes to the rec center, but that's not what we wanted. The toilet in our room randomly flush3d throughout the night. The hallways were really dirty. I mean, for the price it was fine.

Single pane windows, very very loud. Im a heavy sleeper and kept waking up. A/C very loud starting up and off and on all night. My room right over a door so people coming and going every time woke me up. Needs TLC maintaining and fixing, upgrading. Some nice staff, some incompetent basically.
