Sandman Hotel Castlegar

There was only one Kleenex in the Kleenex box.

Bathroom tub appeared to have black mold around the caulking. Continental breakfast not included - declined paying additional charges, typically is included. The night before we stayed at another hotel for same price and included a full breakfast

Bed good but hot tub not good needs maintenance

Stayed one night while passing through Castlegar. Room was very clean and comfortable. McDonald's is right across the road. Central location.

Everything was fine however the washroom was not good. Stains in the bathtub, toilet seat didn’t fit. Definitely in need of a renovation.

Can you please have more eggs and yogurt in the morning for the continental. Staff are amazing. Especially the lady doing night shift. She’s a hard worker. Give her a raise.

The ground floor window facing parking lot did not lock. Hair stick to ceiling in bathroom, stained sheets, pets in room when asked for pet free room. Very noisy hotel

We love having a large room option for our family on hockey trips and staff are very helpful and kind as we will fill up the pool space.

Stayed two nights. Room was not cleaned, bed not made up nor towels replenished. You don't get "free breakfast" here if you book through Expedia. Won't stay here again or recommend.

Room and hotel was quite good, but we did have a complaint. It had snowed both nights we stayed, however the 6.00 am /7.00 am wake ups by the snow removal equipment was aweful. We felt he could have plowed the mall parking lot across the street first...lol

BEWARE! The pictures on the website do NOT look anything like the rooms. I was visiting Castlegar for work this week, and made the mistake of staying at this Sandman location. The hotel is run down to the ground, my room was a "queen suite", but I found bed bugs on the bed and the sofa/couch had bodily stains all over it. Overall the room was in horendous shape - kind of felt like a motel if I'm being honest. The gym is hardly a gym, rather its a storage closet with dingy lighting and 3 pieces of cardio equiment jammed in there, and none of them worked properly. What a horrible experience. Front desk was rude/aburpt and unwilling to help. The GM was nice enough to move to me to another room, which was not all that better. I even tried to leave the hotel for another hotel down the street, but given the fact that I had already paid on Hotels.ca Sandman refused to refund me so I ended up staying. I will never stay at another Sandman again after this horrible experience. Dont let the pictures fool you.
