Silver Dart Lodge

The Silver Dart was very nice—— good location. Enjoyed the view from our room and liked the chairs out front.

As others have stated, this is an older property and could really use an update. We were in a lower room in the main lodge and although the room was clean, the carpet smelled musty and everything just felt tired. Bathroom super cold and uninviting. Towels never dried throughout the day. One of the windows in the bedroom was missing a lock. We did not use the pool but did not look particularly inviting either. Gym consisted of 3 cardio machines. This was a 2 night stay so fine for us . Would not want to stay much longer than that. We had dinner in the restaurant one night and one breakfast. Breakfast was only buffet and was adequate for $18.00. Dinner was also decent although extremely busy in the dining room with a tour bus ( or 2 ) crowd. Had an issue with the wine my partner ordered that was not rectified so he paid for a glass of wine that he had one sip of. It sat there all through the meal and was not acknowledged by the server although he had told her it was too sweet and tasted like apple juice. Huge bright side were the wonderful ladies at the front desk! They were excellent! Quick, efficient check in and out and just generally lovely each time we spoke to them. Parking was also very easy .

Old, small rooms in desperate need of major update. Terrible bed. Do not recommend!

Nice property, a little dated .

Room is big but a bit dated.

Old fashioned lodge and we stayed in the main lodge. At first we thought it needed refurbishment but the bathroom was totally brand new and there was new carpet in the main bedroom, but all in a retro style. Staff were friendly, food was average. Nice view of the lake. All in all a good stay.

Property is old and rundown. Can definitely do with some serious renovations.

Overall a good place to stay while in Baddeck

Easy access to Baddeck and the Cabot Trail

The staff were very nice and helpful. The property was beautiful and very convenient. The rooms were a little dated but clean. I would recommend this lodge to anyone.

Very well kept and comfortable. Great view from the chalet.

Has a pool, some units have a deck. The deck require some work to refresh them as the metal posts are peeling.

Das Personal in der Silver Dart Lodge ist unglaublich freundlich. Die Aussicht im Restaurant genial. Die Zimmer sind groß, die Betten super. Die Ausstattung insgesamt, besonders der Teppichboden ist in die Jahre gekommen. Der Geruch in den Räumen ist daher nicht ganz angenehm. Parken ist kostenlos. Der Pool super sauber und angenehm warm.

We came here to see the Alexander Graham Bell museum - highly recommend! This hotel served or purposes perfectly. It could probably use some renovation, but it's very nicely kept up. It's clean and we were very comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
