There is not much to do in Kamloops, but I will definitely go back just to stay in this hotel. It's perfectly maintained, ample spaces, peaceful, the rooms are very pleasant, not cookie cutter and the food beyond expectations. The service is utstanding, even Tanya, from the front desk, wrote us a note in Spanish just to make us feel welcomed. Looking forward to go back.

When I booked the room, there was no notice that there would be an extra fee for pets, and it clearly said pets friendly. When I took my dog to the hotel, the front desk actually charged me a pet fee, which was incredible! The reason was that I had to pay if I booked on Expedia, but if I booked directly with them, I wouldn't have to. It was totally unreasonable. I drove for more than five hours to get there, and there was no way I could leave, so I had to pay. The next morning, they said that the room rate included breakfast, but the breakfast was a small paper bag with a very disgusting cupcake package, a paper-wrapped orange juice, an energy bar, and a fruit cup for 25 cents. After opening it, it was full of plastic smell. My child and I couldn't eat it, so we threw it all away. This is the worst breakfast I have ever encountered in a hotel in my life, no doubt about it.

Be sure to ask for the door code to get back into building as they lock main doors at night. It took me over 5 min to get hold of night attendant to get back inside between 11pm - 12am. No secure wifi network. It's open and instead of prompting for a password, a message comes up saying not secure and all you send is open for others to see. Barely a 3 star accommodation yet they charge as they are 4 star. Just awful - so overpriced & nothing of value. Extremely disgusting greasy streaks and dirt on the sliding door window. Could barely see out it. Hair in ice bucket. No water station in lobby. Run down and simply ugly. Photos on website are not realistic
