The room was nice and comfortable. Love the lounge from the cocktail to the rosé wine from South of France. Meal at the lounge was excellent (coq au vin) Very good experience.

Not enough parking for vehicles that have paid in hotel lot. Hot water in room was sporadic sometimes hot sometimes cold.

Stayed at the Hotel Saskatchewan and honestly, it’s the kind of place that still remembers how to be a hotel. Not just a building with beds, but an actual institution where the lobby smells like history, the staff know what they’re doing, and you feel like you’ve stumbled into an era where people dressed for dinner. Everything about it was exactly what it should be — polished without being plastic, attentive without hovering. The room was spotless, the bed was the kind of cloud that makes you consider cancelling all future plans, and the breakfast downstairs could easily ruin you for all other breakfasts. But the part that got me? They found out it was my husband’s birthday and didn’t just say “oh, happy birthday” and move on. No. They went full old-school charm and left him an adorable little birthday surprise in the room — food, presented with that unforced thoughtfulness you can’t fake. He lit up like a kid, and I might have gotten a little misty, but don’t tell anyone. If you want sterile efficiency, book somewhere else. If you want the rare pleasure of a hotel that still knows the art of hospitality, book here and pray they never change a thing.
