Public transportation was within a short walking distance.
Beds were very comfortable , coin operated guest laundry is available. We would definitely stay here again.

We arrived at 2 am after a ferry delay from the mainland. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, with good beds, but the whole building is a bit shabby, needing paint. The continental breakfast was fresh and fine. This was a convenient stop for a traveller.

Convenient location just 1 km from Nanaimo downtown; affordable price, free parking. The air conditioner in our room did not work. Staff twice checked our AC power supply, but no staff knew how to reset the fuse/breaker. They supplied a fan, which was OK but still too warm to sleep. Staff offered us another guest room but the hotel was full and no rooms available.

When approaching by car, you notice a collection of junk furniture piled up along the outside of the building. When pulling into the parking lot, The rundown condition of the property is apparent. The carpet in the room is very old, and the first floor rooms are easily accessed from the street outside and not in any way secure.

The staff were nice. The room is good size bed was comfortable not very soundproof. The continental breakfast is only muffins, porridge, banana, apples, and yoghurt so if you’re looking for something bigger for breakfast, this is not it.

The location is convenient but quite noisy. Room was on 1st floor right next to lobby. In general there was noise from inside and outside making it hard to rest. The worst of it was that at the end of May temperature in the room was 28 degrees, with noisy AC. In August you will be roasted. Breakfast is only sweet things with tea and coffee.
