The Locale Hotel Grand Cayman

If you want an affordable hotel to stay. This is it. Everywhere else is very expensive. also they offer free breakfast.

The property advertises as if it's actually on a beach. It is not. If you want a good beach, you will have to walk 10 mins north.

The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. My room was clean and had everything needed. It was very quiet-could not hear other guests at all when in my room.

Front desk workers were amazing , staff all around friendly and rooms were amazing. Also near everything you need so walking was always an option.

Small property with a friendly staff.

Excellent stay in what feels like a very high end motel crossed with a small hotel. But don't think high end motel is a detraction. It is small, comfortable, and unobtrusive. No seaside view or fancy 10 story palacial building with a personal balcony, just a comfortable room with a gorgeous, spacious bathroom and everything you need. Only thing I missed is the hotel ice machines we have in the USA. The beach is a short walk left or right, but I recommend going to seven Mile Beach (north), the beach to the south has limited access and is very rocky.

I absolutely loved the Locale hotel. We had a wonderful made to order free breakfast each morning with lots of great choices. We had a loft room which was so quaint and comfortable. We had beach towels, beach chairs and even an umbrella if we wanted one for the beach. The service was top notch - everyone was kind and helpful. Very convenient location with close grocery store and many restaurants nearby. Stay here - you won’t regret it!

Great clean, small hotel. Paul at the front was amazing. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

I felt safe and everything felt central and easy to access like restaurants and gas station etc. The only thing I did not enjoy was the service at the on property restaurant for breakfast. I found the wait staff to be unpleasant and seemed bothered to seat me and take my order. I also found the breakfast to be very bland and underwhelming. Outside of the restaurant however, I loved my room and everything else about the property.

Very comfortable stay, hotel is centrally located off Seven Mile and had an excellent complimentary breakfast in the morning.

location - amazing. minutes to the beach. minutes to several dining options. close to airport. easy to catch shuttles/taxi/bus. front desk staff - lovely great pool area. only issue - check in is at 4pm which is as late as a check in can get. Our room wasn't ready until after 5pm so we sat and waited in the lobby for over an hour. We had to keep asking every so often for updates rather than being told when we might get our room. Later realized why our room wasn't ready on time - every single day we'd see the ladies cleaning rooms sitting on the chairs in the hotel rooms on their phones as we walked by. Did not see them cleaning even once. Imagine that - instead of cleaning, which is the job they're hired and paid for, they were sitting in people's rooms on their phones and because of that people weren't getting to check in on time. Infuriating.

There was hair throughout my room which grossed me out. But it was a nice stay outside of that

The Locale was a cute affordable safe place to stay for our vacation. The rooms were clean, breakfast was delicious, and there were some cool options within walking distance (Camana Bay). The street in front of the hotel is very busy so it's not as serene as I had hoped, there were no ice machines, and the beach wasn't as accessible as I had heard. Overall, I would recommend it as the good outweighs the inconveniences.

Our stay at the Locale was great, the staff at the front desk was informative and helpful. They also offer free breakfast at the restaurant on location. The hotel does not have access to the beach on property, but there are several beach options nearby and the hotel provides towels, chairs, etc to help make your beach day easier. The only thing that could have made the stay better was housekeeping coming by. We think it was just miscommunication because everything else was great !

The room was very comfortable, and it was cleaned every 2 days as we requested. Linens and towels were fresh and clean. The breakfast provided fresh daily. I will definitely be back!

Cute boutique hotel. Saturday night BBQ was good. Pool area smelled like garbage.
