Hotel Diego De Almagro Puerto Montt

The room was good as was the bathroom. But the heated pool wasn't functioning and it took the better part of an hour to get the sauna working. Breakfast was good. A bit more service and tea/coffee facilities in the room would lift the experience.

Very comfortable. Breakfast is excellent. My window did not close. The pressure of the water in the baths is incredibly high. So high that taking a bath can be a painful experience. Please, consider to regulate the pressure of the two water.

It needs to be refreshed/updated. inside and out. Very clean rooms and bathrooms. Water pressure was excepsional

My shower was cold & the toilet ran for over 5 minutes after every flush. The room was nice & clean. The lights in the car park were broken & water was around my car despite sunny days.

Agradable decoración de todo el hotel. Muy limpio. El restaurante no es muy bueno, pero compensa la comodidad y buen gusto de las habitaciones. Recomendado.

I had originally booked Hotel Patagonia in Puerto Varas (fully paid in advance via Expedia). However the afternoon before my arrival I had a message from the hotel saying they couldn’t honour my booking due to lack of availability. Not impressed to say the least! An Expedia agent called me early on my check-in date to help find an alternative solution. Very helpful & efficient, however there were no equivalent properties in Puerto Varas at this late stage. I had to make an on the spot decision about hotel Diego de Almagro in Puerto Montt. Whilst Puerto Montt is only 20 minutes from a Puerto Varas they are worlds apart. Puerto Varas is a relaxed tourist resort in stark contrast to Puerto Montt which is a working class town. The hotel itself is very basic and in need of modernisation. In hindsight I should have insisted on my an alternative in my original location but neither myself or the agent had insight to the difference between destinations.

This is a good, sensible hotel. We stayed overnight before a flight. Service was spot on, parking was very good, and the restaurant was excellent.only minor issue was our room got quite warm during the night (we like cool). Would have fixed this if we weren't leaving before dawn. Taxi booking was perfect.

Room was noisy, not air conditioning during summer

Wrong telephone number listed on Expedia... called another in the chain to find hotel and finally called for assistance to find location and was told by male desk clerk that I was within 4-5 blocks and I should hire a taxi to lead me to the hotel, I said what, he said sorry we cannot help you find the hotel, hire the taxi... called my phone carrier and had them ping my gps and found hotel myself...male clerk at front desk was suly, not welcoming... only movable window in room failed to close so management came and closed it, leaving a 1/2" gap around the window frame, in a room with no heat. One of two lights out in bathroom. Stuffed the gap with drapes, and slept in my down vest. I stayed at the Diego de Almagro chain during my trip in Chile. This older man was the only example of poor service by hotel staff. The younger staff was all cheerful and helpful.

Good hotel to stay while waiting for ship next door to a big supermarket and only ten minutes walk to centre of town. Good breakfast included. Hotel also has a heated pool and steam room.

Stayed here because it is near relatives. It is a little off the tourist trail, not in the center of town, but next to a large KMart-type big box store, convenient. Good breakfast. Secure parking under the hotel. Not a luxe hotel, but very good for the money.

Excelente hotel para descansar después de un viaje largo. Muy buena vista, con la usual gran atención del personal de la cadena Diego de Almagro y buenas instalaciones. Cerca de todo lo que uno busca

Mis expectativas eran bastante más altas. El hotel tenía la piscina en mantenimiento y era uno de mis objetivos. El resto, sin observaciones. El desayuno bien y el servicio de restaurant al mismo nivel.
