This hotel truly feels like the Hawaii of China, peaceful, welcoming, and the perfect place to recharge. I stayed here during a short stopover before my trip back to America, and it was exactly what I needed. The receptionist was especially kind and went out of their way to help me order a taxi, making my transit smooth and stress-free. Thank you for your warm hospitality!

The pools were great, the room was comfortable, but.... the food (except for the breakfast buffet) was really below average. We ate at the "western" restaurant and the meal was quite poor, and served with cold rice. The staff was irritated when we complained about the rice, so we ate our food and left. The big problem with this is that the hotel is so isolated that it is not easy to get to another restaurant, so you either put up with it or leave. We left.

We were bitten by the SAND FLIES at the pool area. Be careful, you will not realise you have been bitten until several hours later and for days, you will itch. The itch even keeps you awake at night too, unless a visit to the doctor for an injection and applying topical antibiotic cream will reduce/ stop the scratching.

The hotel looked amazing, and was in great condition. Friendly service staff all round. An added bonus is a huge garden and beach - perfect for a relaxing walk. However, do note that the location is rather far from Haikou city center, about 20 min by car.

Bad experience at the dinner. It was supposedly buffet but realized that food was never replenished through out the night. Many of the staff were unsure of their duties or not well trained to handle guests’ queries. A lot more to be done for a 5-star hotel.

Things posted on internet were not available. Like 24 hour shuttle bus and there spa was not open. Nothing available on the beach to do do! Very limited items in convenience store. To do anything away from hotel is by bus or taxi.

Title says it all. The hotel was fantastic. Great pools and beach. Reasonable gym. Good lifeguards, very attentive. Great food in all the restaurants and good service. Short ride into town where we food more top restaurants and shops.

Hotel was very nice, as were the pools and rooms. Location is a bit of a bummer since there's nothing to eat or do in walking distance and things in the hotel are a bit pricey. Great for a single night to recoup or to make sure you're close to the airport (30 min cab ride was $100RMB).
