The hotel is closed to Guanqian Street which pretty much a night market street. There are several metro stations within walking distance so it's easy to move around the city. Staff were friendly and the checkin process was pretty fast and easy

Good hotel well located

The hotel is located in the heart of the old town and super easy to get to Guanqian Street and Linden Street where many famous restaurants and entertainment venues are locations. The hotel’s facility is a bit old and it is carefully maintained. The hotel room is spacious and super quiet. Would definitely book this hotel next time we visit Suzhou.

Convenient. Located in the heart of Suzhou.

We got there around noon time， the staff was very friendly and found a room and let us check in. The room is clean and quiet。 There is a bus stop just outside the hotel， we used it to take buses to some famouse tourist destinations。And subway is only close to。

The hotel needs to be repaired and renovations. When I booked these 2 rooms paid for three people fee, and confirmed for 3 persons. When I checked in, the hotel front desk told me it doesn’t have room for three persons and said Expedia description is not correct. And let me the exact money.

Didn’t realize the hotel was so “old”! The room is so dark, lights aren’t bright enough! We’ve decided to check out instead of staying overnight!

Very nice service, staffs, manager Andy Chen provided useful and helpful information regarding the city and how to make our tours easier and convenient. The room is very clean and quiet. Very good location. Highly recommended.

This hotel was in a central location of Gusu. The check-in was streamlined and the staff are lovely. They helped to keep the luggages on the last day and even lent us their umbrellas. Double glaze windows are installed along the street side, so it is quiet at night. However, the faculties and carpets are bit old, part of the wall is not finished properly and some of the furnitures in the bathroom are broken.

Great hotel close to a metro station and Suzhou train station. Many restaurants and bars are around. It's nearby Guan Qian Shopping Street. Pretty convenient location. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean. I would definitely stay here again.

Thin walls (noise issue). I had a problem with hallway voices, voices in the next room, as well as ambient noise (bass) from nearby nightclub. With the voices from within the building, it’s almost as if the design amplified them or made them echo louder, ditto for the noise of closing doors on the rooms in my hallway. A truly terrible design for a hotel. Very little English spoken here, staff well meaning but it was hard even to check in, let alone deal with issues that came up. It shouldn’t be necessary to call the actual hotel manager in order to find someone with satisfactory English skills. Maybe I’m being unrealistic about hotels in provincial Chinese cities, though Suzhou is not exactly a small place. I had unusual problems with key card not working (electricity kept shutting off every few minutes, including once when I was in the shower) and perhaps as a related problem, the hotel safe gave me a “fail” message and would not open when I had a lot of valuables inside. Try explaining all that with only a translation app! I give hotel staff full credit for patiently trying to understand and help me out, but it was an unusually stressful and disappointing experience overall. This isn’t what international travelers/ Expedia users would expect. Noise problems aside, I’ve never encountered these issues before in years of international travel on several continents, including (on this trip) in other hotels in China.

Very nicely designed hotel, especially the lobby, atrium and the main breakfast restaurant. Room also modern and comfortable. I’m very impressed and also love the location, being near the subway and plenty of eateries and shops just outside the hotel. Also even though it was in a busy area of Suzhou, noise isolation was superb!

Ok. Near mrt station and some food places nearby. Not as new as expected but peaceful environment.

Location was fantastic. Minutes away from a main shopping area and also a metro stop. Very walkable to all areas. Staff is friendly, concierge is helpful and knowledgeable. Hot and cold tea on the lobby for convenience to travelers. Breakfast buffet was quality.

Place is old. Night scene is good.

Amazing hotel. Great happy hour prices and food! Pool was a rooftop delight. The staff was especially helpful and friendly.

Good location, easy to get to and a lot of attraction within walking distance

We stayed in this hotel on the 9th of April 2018. At check in we found the front desk was in complete chaos. People came from all directions. The staff there were powerless to maintain any order and only responded to the loudest voices. The lady who served us was very unfriendly and rude. I noticed she wore a trainee tag. I was traveling with my parents and 2 other elderly relatives(all 80 plus years old) and we booked 3 rooms. We were put in rooms in 3 different levels even though we asked for rooms close to each other. When I came to my room, the first thing that struck me was the condition. The carpet was old and filthy. There were plenty of dirty yellow marks on the tiled floor and wall in the bathroom. The furniture were aged, discoloured and peeling. And then it came to a long list of things that were faulty. My basin was completely blocked and that I had to use the bathtub instead. The toilet wouldn't flush properly. The light switches on one side of the bed did not work. At check out we waited for a long time for someone to check the rooms before our deposit was refunded. It feels that the hotel did not trust its guests. The hotel is desperately in need of a full renovation. What's more disappointing is the unprofessional staff. Most of the girls at the front were trainees who didn't seems to know what they were doing. I helped with English translation as only one person spoke the language. An international hotel?

Aircodition was not turning on as is still on spring but outside temperature is about 25 deg C. The room is very stuffy and unable to sleep at night.
