We flew in late and just need a place to stay for 1 night before we headed to La Fortuna. It was very close to the airport and had a few restaurant options to walk to which was great!

After checking in and going to our room we realized we had been sent to an unmade room.
We went back to the lobby and asked for another room- we were given a room with 2 small beds when I had booked and paid for a king room. We are both tall so this was a recipe for a bad nights sleep.
I asked if there was any other room available but was told not. I also asked if a room in a quieter location was available but again was told no.
We were woken up early by all the guests and noisy children going to get breakfast. The room (113) was on a ridiculously noisy corridor. I expressed my concern about this ahead of time to the lady at check in but she couldn’t care less.
Really poorly thought out for an airport hotel. The last thing you want arriving at 1:30am after a day of travel is a poor nights sleep in a small bed.

My review is for Expedia. I needed to cancel my reservation due to flight cancellations because of volcanic activity near San Jose. The Holiday Inn Express couldn’t cancel because I made it through Expedia and Expedia had NO CUSTOMER SERVICE agent who would take my call!
I’ve stayed at this hotel before and love the customer service and friendliness of the staff … and the breakfast is amazing.
I’m sorry I missed another stay. And any inconvenience to the staff due to Expedia’s poor customer service.

Quite handy for our flight, which arrived after the car rental company office had closed. We appreciated being able to take the free airport shuttle, which picks up at the airport every 20 minutes and operates 24 hours, for the 5-minute ride to the hotel. The room was comfortable and quiet apart from the expected airport noise. The included breakfast was very good with a hot bar, pastries, breads, yogurts, cereals and an abundance and variety of fresh fruit. We then had a short walk to the rental car office which is located alongside a number of other car rental offices. We picked up the car, returned to the hotel, and enjoyed the relaxing pool before setting off on the rest of our journey.

Great location with close proximity to airport. Very smooth check-in and great service. Unfortunately the room we had was a little worn and smelled musty, like carpets needed replacing. Shuttle to airport was excellent.

We stayed at the hotel for a night after our long flight. It’s really close to the airport and they have free shuttle bus so you don’t even need to use any taxi.
The hotel it self was okay. Clean, the beds comfy and the staff all very friendly.
Loved that at breakfast the staff was really looking after the little ones, even was making the balloons.
However what found strange that they were using plastic cutlery and plates. Although they are recycled and still friendly to the environment.
It's good value for money for sure.
