Sunscape Curacao Resort, Spa & Casino - All Inclusive

Staff was friendly, drinks were good, resort is right on the beach. We had to wait almost every time we went to the buffet or one of the restaurants. Went to the Spa, had a massage and facial, both were wonderful. Resort is in desperate need of renovations though, I don’t think the Hyatt has put any money into it since it was built in the 60’s, the staff do what they can with what they have.

The staff at this property tried really hard but obviously didn’t have the support they needed to succeed. The facilities were borderline awful. Dirty rooms. Unresponsive front desk for simple things like water. Unorganized dining options and wait lists. They need a dinner pager system so badly, I almost want to buy one for them! The pools were dirty. The beach towel staff member was one of the most inconsiderate, rude individuals on the staff. The male bartenders were rude. The buffet would run out of food 2 hours prior to closing. I was with my husband on a trip without our kids and we made the most of it; however, we would never recommend the island or this resort to anyone.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The beaches/pools were beautiful! One night they had a fire show which was really awesome. Our room was nice and clean with a pretty and spacious balcony. The only issue was the water was only warm not fully hot. All of the staff was very nice and helpful. The food was okay. We loved the hibachi, but most of the places were just okay. One thing they should work on is increasing the availability of chairs. Most days people are saving chairs with towels at 7AM leaving no open chairs. Even though people put their towels on the chairs, you will see many chairs without anyone sitting on them for hours. They should work on enforcing the rule of not saving chairs with towels or putting out more chairs to fix this issue. Another positive was the bus station right outside the hotel which can drive you to downtown. It was very convenient. There are a few issues, but overall it was a nice place and we enjoyed our stay.

Third time staying here. Best part is the Sunclub beach and the ladies who work down there. Zoraida, Sylvia, and Verona are amazing! So kind and always have a smile and good story. Stayed on the first floor this time and was actually very cold but so convenient to the pool and beach. New towels in the Sunclub are super soft. Great improvements from two years ago. Glad to see familiar faces again. Can't wait to come back again. Wish they had a frequent visitor club!

The hotel was amazing! Beautiful beach that you can snorkel if that's your thing or just relax in the ocean! The pool bar was great with great servers.

Facility could use many updates. Amenities were scarce and paying to upgrade to sun club was not worth it. The AC barely worked in our room the entire stay. The staff were very kind and accommodating considering the limited supplies they were working with. The beach was outstanding and there's much to do and see in the area.

The property needs updating. The food was inconsistent. The pool bar has cheap alcohol and lack of service. To get premium liquor you have to pay $44 per day unlike other all inclusives we’ve been to. There are not enough restaurants and for breakfast only a buffet unless you pay extra.

The resort needs an upgrade. This is our second time staying there. The first time was great. This time the staff seemed to be a bit over it but you cannot beat the private beach! It is lovely. The food was average but the bartenders understood the assignment and were so fun. Mixed review overall. Might try a new resort the next time we go.

The resort is ok. We did not like having to wait 45 minutes for a restaurant here at the resort only for a huge group to go in front of us. Supposedly this grill was first come first serve. But the staff didn’t even bother to tell us it would be forever to get served. Very careless. We gave up as well as others.

We paid for the trip on Hotels.com, but when we arrived, the front desk staff charged us again while checking us in, to the tune of $1400. The next day, I asked them about it. They acknowledged the error but said the person who does refunds was not there, and they would issue the refund on Monday (which was after we were going to leave). We've tried calling and going through Hotels.com to get the refund. Two weeks later, they still haven't issued it. Everything else about the stay was good, but you can't double charge someone and then just try to keep the money. That outweighs everything else about the hotel. If we knew about this, we would not have stayed here.

I loved the entertainment and team, especially Pedro and Candyman. I didn't think the food was that great, especially the buffet. Otherwise, we had a fantastic time!

Not enough beach towels . Waiting for them long time . Food is almost the same every time . Lines for meals . Lines in restaurants and long waiting.

We booked the resort's VIP option - the Sun Club rooms and it did not feel VIP. Apart from the ladies at Check in and one server at Damario, I'd sum up rhe resort and it's staff at a 2/10. Everyone was rude or dismissive and this was made worse if you didn't tip them which is odd because one would normally tip based on good service. We also witnesed on numerous occassions where staff treated guests with lighter skin tones much better than those with darker skin tones, serving them ahead of their turn and greeting them warmly, while other guests barely got acknowledged. The buffet area was often covered with flies, the restaurants would be closed on certain days with no communication to guests, the rooms were relatively large but with 80s decor and in need of upgrades/repairs, the drinks were watery - everything from juice to the cocktails, the shuttles advertised on the website did not exist and the mini bar selections were limited.

We enjoyed our stay and the customer service was good. The outside is amazing!!!
