Alhambra Hotel

For a budget option where I just needed a place near the mainline stations to sleep this was great - everything I needed for my basic requirements. What impressed me the most was the service of those at the reception desk. They were very pleasant and helpful.

Stayed for one night as planned and needed to be near kings x Room was v clean which was great and we had a twin room and beds v comfy . Please could there be a plug extension lead so you can plug phone in by your beds . Tks

Room very small and lots of stairs

The room was clean, but it was in the basement and smelled of mildew and sewer gases. Also, there incredibly noise late at night both from the building and in the street.

I liked convenient location, friendliness, cleanliness. Disliked size - especially the bathroom.

The check in was wonderful. He let us check in early. The problem is the cleaning staff walked into my room 3 times within a 24 hour stay. NEVER IN MY 53 YEARS OF LIFE has this ever happened to me. I had to block the door with a chair. As a single woman this was not a good experience.

Very convenient location for all transit..so close to Kings Cross & St Pancras. Quiet, clean, tidy & safe. Nice to use the Urban Garden to sit and enjoy our wine and cheese. Shared toilet and shower were kept clean. The rooms are small, and the stairs are narrow and steep...so if you have heavy luggage or don't like stairs, you would want to book a room on a lower floor. We were on the top floor and it was warm; thinking it must get very warm in the summer.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff! The room was very clean, and the hotel itself is located right across the street from Kings Cross Station and St. Pancras Station, so transportation was extremely convenient within London and within the UK at large. Plenty of restaurant options nearby, and two supermarkets within walking distance. Best suited for travelling relatively lightly, as there is not a ton of space for luggage. That being said, the room successfully accommodated our 4 carry-on suitcases and 4 large backpacks. The people at the reception were very pleasant and assisted us with scheduling a taxi. Great experience overall!

The hotel is located right across the street from Kings Cross Station and St. Pancras Station, so transportation is extremely convenient to practically anywhere in London and the rest of the UK. Plenty of restaurant options nearby, and two supermarkets within walking distance. The room (bathroom especially) is a little small, but not unreasonable for the price and location (and it being London). Best suited for travelling lightly, as there is not a lot of space for luggage, and luggage may need to be taken up stairs. The room accommodated a large backpack and a carry-on suitcase without issue, but additional luggage would make it a tight fit. Great experience overall and would definitely stay here again!

Our trip was just a stay over to attend appointments and avoid lengthy train journeys to and from London. The hotel is very easy to find, a mere stones throw from Kings Cross ST PANCRAS stations. Check in was very quick and efficient and we had our room key in minutes. We were put in the annex over the road, which didn't present a problem as such. The room, though compact had two double beds and was spotlessly clean, comfortable with everything you could want, including ample tea and coffee making provisions. Shower room, again, spotlessly clean and the shower the following morning, providing ample hot water, big white towels adorned the bed in a fan sheet on arrival. The downsides, but I write an honest review were that our room more or less sat above London Underground's Piccadilly Line and in actually working for the company, we knew exactly what time to expect the first train in the morning, so if you're a light sleeper, you should ask for a higher floor. Talking of higher floors, the one above us amplified every foot step of the occupants above and it would be fair to say, they weren't light on their feet!, so between them and the Tube, not a great nights sleep. That said and all things considered, would we stay there again - YES, as I'd know what to ask for the next time.

Perfect for my needs. Spotless room, comfortable bed, less than 10 mins walk from Eurostar check in at St Pancras.

Great location for St Pancras. Clean and newly decorated. The shower room was tiny, but functional. Friendly welcoming staff on reception.

The room size is adequate. Clean room and towel. Bathroom is so small the wash basin is just for washing hand. The basin is in the way that one had to sit at angle on the toilet.

Very nice older hotel. Very clean, quiet, safe, and a great value. Almost across the street from Kings Cross and St Pancras train stations. Easy access to the underground. My wife and I look forward to staying there again.

No mention that our room would be across the street from the "lobby". Very tight and narrow, steep stairs down to the room below the street level. Also very noisy - we could hear the trains at San Pancras and the outside noise. The walls must've been very thin too as we could hear the other folks conversations! Room was very small - wouldn't want to stay here for any longer than a quick overnight stay.

It was exactly as expected for a budget hotel: reception friendly, room clean and quiet, and the ability to leave luggage on check-out day. One small negative was an email before I left home stating that the room was service-free and that any extra service required would be charged. Whilst I understood the conditions, it wasn't very welcoming, and a short 'thank you for staying with us' or 'we look forward to your visit' would have taken the unwelcome edge off it.
