Chelsea Guest House

Had a lovely stay! The place was very clean and easily accessible by taxi. A bonus is that there’s a McDonald’s right next door—perfect for a quick bite if you’re in a rush. Do note that in the evenings, it can get a bit lively with people singing or playing music loudly. It didn’t bother me, but if you’re sensitive to noise, it’s something to keep in mind. Overall, a great stay!

This was one of the worst hotel rooms I have ever been in. The bed looked unclean, and the bathroom had a horrible smell. The environment was noisy, with doors banging all night. There was a shower in the private bathroom but no toilet. You have to go to a public bathroom in the hall, which increases the noise. Stay out of this property if you can afford it anywhere else in the city.

Easy to get to from Waterloo and close to Brixton for gig. Hotel was clean bed comfortable.

Decent hotel, clean & quiet. Staying locally to attend an event in Brixton.

Nice smart and comfortable with no bells and whistles. We were warm and clean for a comfortable night sleep. Area is not the best at night but mcds next door helps with breakfast.

Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful. Room & building very clean. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Location was close to bus stop. Cons: Very noisy at night especially on the weekends. The second night I barely slept due to the loud vehicles. After that I bought ear plugs. No hot water for shower in the mornings. Showers were only warm. Only hot showers at night. Water will turn off if used too much! I had no shower on my last day due to water being off. The air freshener or cleaning detergent used was overpowering.The smell was too strong & gave me a headache which is a “me” problem and not a hotel problem. The window was nice to have for fresh air. One suggestion would be to add a couple of hooks in the room to hang coats. There wasn’t much space to put personal items.

Property showed up as ‘Parking’ available but it really isn’t. Very difficult coming in middle of the night only to go out and look for street parking while it was raining.

A really nice place, has everything you need on a budget. Like most London budget hotels I’m finding it had noisy residents. I was kept awake until 4am by shouting and doors banging.

Very clean, super comfortable bed, all basic amenities. Good location for American Embassy

My room was in the front with excessive traffic and exaust pipe noise. I had very Little sleep

It’s not in Chelsea, so be careful if you want to be there. Good price for a decent room.

The staffs at the reception are very nice. Both the room and the bathroom are tidy and clean.

Receptionist lovely, the area isnt the best and javing the shared toilet wasnt to my liking but besides that for a cheap hotel close to the US embassy it had everything it needed.

A charming little hotel that offers great value for a stay in the area. The staff is wonderful, and the hotel is clean. My only issue was that my single room had a shower but no toilet, as the restroom was shared in the hallway, which I found inconvenient. Everything else was satisfactory.

Stayed for 2 nights whilst incorporating sight seeing with a visit to US Embassy. Check in was quick and receptionist was very freindly and showed us the way to our room. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Stayed during a warm spell of weather so room was very warm but a fan had been provided in the room. Our room was towards the back of the accommodation on the side. Even so if window was open even slightly road traffic and aircraft noise could be heard. No food served here but a good comfortable stay and rates were good. Bus stops virtually right outside in both directions. Would stay here again.

Arrived after a day of travelling, quick check in, route to room exlained. The room was very clean, looked as if it had decorated recently. The shower room was small but immaculate. Top floor room so two Velux windows allowed good ventilation. Im not often in London but I would use it again.

Very clean. No elevator. No refrigerator. All good for a 1 night stay due to a 17 hour layover at the airport. Very close to restaurants and grocery stores.
