Holiday Inn Express MANCHESTER AIRPORT by IHG, an IHG Hotel

Good simple accommodation following a late arrival at the airport. Does exactly what you expect, and breakfast is pretty good. It would be even better if there was a shuttle bus to transfer from the airport.

The Holiday Inn Express is a convenient stop over Hotel between flights (I had a 2 night stay). It was clean and quiet. There was a huge breakfast available. One thing I felt could be added to the bathroom, and that is a couple of face flannels. Not many places offer them but when they do they are always appreciated. It is a shame the Hotel doesn’t offer a shuttle service to the airport. I would be happy to pay the Hotel £10 each way for the service rather than the exuberant prices charged by the local taxis. Also for anyone wanting to pick up a cheap lunch or evening meal there is a small supermarket a ten minute walk away. The Hotel staff will give you directions.

Enjoyed my first ever stay at a Holiday Inn Express. The room was beautifully appointed as was the en-suite. It was very quiet. The lack of air conditioning was mitigated by the provision of a high powered fan. Despite this, I found it a little bit difficult to sleep due to the high tog rating of the duvet but am aware that I could have requested a sheet instead. The room rate which included breakfast was excellent value. I am staying at the same Holiday Inn Express again next week and look forward to it. I had dinner as well as breakfast and the food offering was of a high standard.
