Holiday Inn Express SOUTHAMPTON M27, JCT.7 by IHG, an IHG Hotel

Good all round, busy when we stayed but all ok.

Staff are always very nice , rooms are clean , there is always a parking space , however now you charge extra for a parking space which was very disappointing, it seems customers & motorists have to pay all the time

Comfortable clean room. Appealing lounge area. Lovely breakfast included. Disabled parking. Perfect for overnight pre cruise stay. Menu bit basic and costly, only accepts cards at bar, dont agree with.

Awful night sleep. Was given a sofa bed which was very uncomfortable, gap between the ‘headboard’ and mattes which sloped downwards and pillows were poor . One really hard , the other very thin. Had a very uncomfortable night and no sleep. Room very dusty and carpet stained . However lovely staff on reception.

The hotel was good however the bed was double, feel king size would be more comfortable

Over the Easter weekend, it was completely chaotic and a bit too busy, especially at breakfast. But that's not the hotels fault. I have a nut allergy and it was far too busy to mention that so I stuck to toast, rather than giving them another job. As they were all very busy and everything was running out. The room was a bit of a squeeze for 4 of us, as we stayed 4 nights but as a base it was perfectly ok. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. Our daughter was sick once in the night, and they were really understanding and provided new bedding straight away. Unfortunately the phone was not connected in the room, so we had to go to reception but when I mentioned it, the Receptionist said she would inform maintenance and it was repaired the next day. We would definitely stay again but maybe not during a busy period.

This holiday inn is very nice and clean , happy to stay there and will stay again next time.

Staff were really friendly and professional. Found the room to be very tired and a bit grubby. Did the job for a quick stay.

Comfort

This is our second stay at this hotel and once again we were not disappointed. The hotel is clean and spacious. The staff are friendly and helpful and there is a decent choice of dining options.

Easy parking good value loads of retail parks close by

Beyond our expectations usually stay in travel lodge so this was a change From checking in to checkout the staff were exceptional. Beds were excellent great sleep great quality and breakfast included. Our dog loved it as we took her on a walk in the woods . Will definitely be back.

We use this hotel as our overnight stop prior to our cruise holiday. It perfect for access, clean friendly staff plus a very short transfer to the cruise terminal. It is very close to a great shopping complex for any last minute items

Good location if you do want to stay in the city itself. Good motorway access. Comfortable bed. Free parking. Tea/coffee in the room. Breakfast included. Arrived a couple of hours before check in time but had rooms already available so no need to kill time.

We had a wonderful stay at Holiday Inn Express Southampton West End! The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel so welcome. They went the extra mile to help us celebrate our anniversary with some lovely treats in our room, which was a really thoughtful touch. A big thank you to the team for making our stay special—we’ll definitely be back!
