Only snag was noise from guests after 6am. Quieter closing doors would help. This applies to all hotels. Otherwise a very pleasant stay,no problems.

The floor was full of brown stains / blood / poo was not nice we was there for a family funeral and was late so was a rush told them this morning and they were not interested what so ever

The property is great clean nice staff bathrooms need upgrading although only there one night so ok . Breakfast included everything else was great just needs upgrade in certain areas mostly bathrooms

Food was terrible and had no flavour at all. The cook, by no means a chef would not entertain my request for poached eggs at breakfast. It is a Holiday Inn Express what you see is what you get. My colleague had a beef burger that was so well cooked it could of been used as a hockey puck. The waiting staff that night could only just about string an English spoken sentence together. At £220 plus a night you would expect better. Definitely one to avoid

Very friendly staff, good check in. Our room looked a little tired with old tea/coffee stains on the carpet but suited our needs for a one night stay. Breakfast a bit busy and chaotic but food really hot and tasty

Room good but parking poor. Parked on arrival and paid £7 up front to park 24 hours.
Later we went out for an evening meal (the hotel restaurant was chaotically busy), when we got back the car park was overflowing with cars parked outside the spaces as there was no alternative. We had to park in the same way.
We informed reception who said that they were going to free up some spaces and would phone when a space was available. They never phoned.

The stay at Holiday Inn, Southampton was fantastic. We arrived before lunch with the intention of asking for our luggage to be stored. Receptionist said they had a room ready for our us. Very much appreciated.
