Holiday Inn NORWICH, an IHG Hotel

The receptionist gave us a warm welcome and was very attentive but we felt our stay went a little down hill after this. There was a very loud man walking around the hotel shouting and swearing we weren’t sure if he was a staff member or guest as he was using cleaning supplies. The spa and gym area was very dissapointing. The male changing rooms had no cubicles for changing, the gym was packed and you couldn’t get on any equipment. The pool area was not set up for a spa/relaxation area as you might expect when it is advertised as a spa hotel, it was noisy and very open to being looked at by all the male gym users that made you feel very uncomfortable. The sauna was out of order. We had children running up and down our corridor very early and then a cleaner starting hovering and cleaning adjacent rooms at 9am. Fair to say we did not have a relaxing stay and could not sleep in. The staff at the bar area could use some training using the coffee machine. The first staff member that took my order said he didnt know how to make a latte so bare with him it might be bad, then handed us to another staff member who had to make our drinks twice because she said she did it wrong. I would not stay here again.

Staff were really helpful and kind, very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was quite small.

Friendly front desk - enjoyed the gym with its diverse range of equipment for cardio and strength - the breakfast was a generous option

Internet not so good

Staying away for work for 1-night. Room comfortable, ensuite was small. Went to use the pool but it was very small and very busy, so didn't bother. I was in room 311, which was at the start of the corridor, so later in evening there was an amount of noise outside room with others returning to their rooms. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Got parked in car park close to main entrance. Walked to a nearby pub for dinner. All in all a pleasant stay

Clean , staff very friendly and helpful , food was excellent. Shower tray doesnt hold the water and doesn't drain properly, having to wipe up bathroom floor after shower .

About right for the price, nothing above average.

Friendly staff, nice bedding, good location 2 miles from Norwich centre and taxi if need for evening. Able to park all day Sunday whilst Xmas shopping included in booking. Quiet room and well serviced.

Very nice stay. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Rooms could do with a refresh and a thorough clean. Breakfast was great, lots of options. Pool and spa was a perfect way to end the stay.

Hotel staff are very friendly. Room was fine but pool and jacuzzi was closed which was disappointing.

New IT system caused loads of issues with getting receipts at bar and the bill in check out

Hotel very clean, staff polite and efficient. Room was a little too warm, especially during the night.

Our stay was really good, better than my expectations

A small uncomfortable double bed with hard pillows but the room was clean and spacious and we enjoyed our stay.

Were told there was some refurbs for the pool the week before we went but that all facilities would be useable. Bearing in mind it was the week after we thought there would be zero issues the pool was not in service. That's one of the main reasons we booked ( we always book somewhere with a pool!!!) my other half also woke up with a bad back Never had issues at any holiday on before but the bed was hard.
