ibis Birmingham International Airport – NEC

Over all comfortable stay night before our holiday. The one thing that let it down is the lack of staff serving. Had to que for a while just to get two drinks, need a till for drinks n 1 for food.

Paying £300 a night to stay in this hotel is just outrageous. I’m sure the prices go up and down and if you get it a lot cheaper than that then there is nothing wrong with it but rooms are small. Hotel is cramped queues for breakfast queue for dinner. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody at that price.

On the positive side it was quiet, but two single beds stuck together is not a double bed! It felt like a cheap student hostel. It is clearly designed for travellers stuck prior or after travelling but it is a disappointing hotel, worth avoiding unless you are desperate,

The lounge area is looking tired!.some of the furniture is well past it's best.

Room temperature controls not very clearly marked but it didn't really matter because the unit wouldn't work properly anyway. The kettle would not initially work until I jiggled the leads to the extension it was plugged into (not safe). There was no shower mat or hand towel and the body wash bottle in the shower was empty.

The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Ideally located, unsurprisingly, for those flying from Birmingham. The staff were friendly and I enjoyed a couple of beers and a read in the hotel bar. For a hotel at an airport, there was surprisingly little noise from the planes arriving and departing,

Convenient, basic room. Did the job for early morning flight.

Clean, comfortable and centrally located hotel. Good for airport and NEC. Small sized rooms but good for a night or two. Air conditioning didnt work in room

Good location for an early morning flight. Ibis budget is in the same building. We first booked the budget then realised we could get the better room for the same rate.

Basic and comfortable room only issue was the toilet flush was poor

Very good apart from the noise from the air conditioning. Loud buzzing noise on occasions which is not good when you are trying to sleep.

My Son and I booked the Ibis following a late nigjt flight- We were able to book in ahead of time, and obtaining our key card for the room was straightforward and swift. The room itself was clean, spacious and confortable. It comprised of two single beds, a desk, wardrobe and large bathroom. There was a desk and an aray of different ligjting, and a TV which was fixed to the wall. The room was modern, and had clean soft carpeting throughout (accept the bathroom) Toiletries, such as shampoo, conditioners and body wash were provided, along with fresh towels. The room was wheelchair accessible, and faciltaed additional disability aids such as telecom alarm units if needed. Tea and coffee, along with a kettle was provided. 12pm checkout was appreciated. Upon checkimg out, we crossed paths with two cleaners, who were friendly and pleasant. We didn't have food during ournvisit, however, the menu looked varied and nice, and the dinning area, as the room, looked clean and modern. I was not disturbed by noise during our stay at the Ibis, despite the hotel being located at Birmingham airport, and upon leaving the room, cleaningbstaff being busy at work (I had the best nigjt sleep, and the beds were comfortable). I will definitely return.

We were attending the gravity event at the NEC, it's a 15 minute walk between the hotel and venue. (Walk under the underpass opposite the front of the hotel and head for the train station, you can access the skybridge from there and walk across) The rooms are basic but clean. Perfect for a one night stay. The breakfast was a good quality.
