ibis budget Birmingham Airport - NEC

Excellent budget location for access to Birmingham airport, AirRail to train station, NEC and Resorts World. Good size room, comfortable bed, nice compact shower. Nice breakfast buffet and friendly staff. Blackout blind in room a bit awkward and fiddly to open. No plug socket next to bed.

Had to collect and make the bunk bed One of the female staff was unhelpful with a bad attitude. Lift out of order but there was more. It is a budget hotel was the staff's reply,so done expect anything and you won't be disappointed

Staff friendly room very clean

The food was surprisingly good. The room was very good value for money. There was no kettle but the staff directed us to a free tea/coffee room, due to our early checkout. It looked fine in the evening but at 5am some thieving sod had stolen ALL the tea bags!

The property is very close to the airport and to the train station. The staff was very nice especially the Filipina receptionist. The food was actually good, we were surprised by that. We slept well, I find the bed comfortable.

For an overnight stay before an early flight, the Ibis Budget at Birmingham Airport really ticked the boxes and was literally across the road from our Maple valet parking drop off. It's not luxurious but perfectly adequate. Then a three minute walk to the terminal the following morning. Great stuff!

The location for an early flight was pretty good, but the property itself was dirty and cheap. The room was no frills. In my room I found the base of a kettle, but no kettle. When I asked reception about this, I was told they are in the process of removing all the kettles from the rooms and I could go to level 1 to the coffee and tea room if I wanted hot drinkable water. Why would they remove a feature? Seems counter-productive to me! I also asked to borrow an iron and was told to go to the ironing room on level 3. This was no more than a small cupboard with a singular iron and dirty ironing board. On the way there I discovered what was either vomit or mould on the hallway carpets. Gross. Also two of the staff that I interacted with were good, the other two were cold and unpleasant. Once you're in the shower there is a warning to "Please take care when standing or walking on wet surfaces. Bath mats are available from reception", so they're so cheap as to not even provide a bath mat in the room as default. I did sleep alright, so the bed didn't seem uncomfortable, but that's about all I can say on the positive side of things. Honestly it was the worst accommodation I stayed in over my 5 week trip. Would recommend you look for an alternative unless you're prepared for the poor quality.

Just fine for a sleep and shower before an early morning flight. Have used this facility multiple times.

Aircon was amazing, bed and pillows was comfortable, towls were nice. Toilet rolls looked a bit dirty/had a yellow tinge, keycard had to be reprogrammed after a day to my room (stayed for 2 nights). Room service/maids came between days to room to change towl which was nice. It was verry basic and plain.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were incredibly friendly. The room itself was pokey but was what we expected for the price we paid and we were only there for 8 hours. The location was exceptional and we would definitely book there against for the same price (£49). At the same time we were disappointed to not have a kettle in the room.

Normally stay at ibis but stayed budget Ibis this time , found rooms exceptionally basic , can use facilities as the Ibis but would not stay budget again

Very good hotel like it a lot all good

Bed very uncomfortable, room very small, very outdated. Hotel itself fine, but hotel reception consistently slow every time they were needed.

Bed and pillows were very firm but apart from that all good

Rooms are tiny- booked tripple bunk bed and barely any space. Pictures are deceptive.
