ibis Styles Birmingham NEC and Airport

Really great hotel close to the NEC. Easy to walk from here. Not really happy to pay £15 parking but not the end of the world considering everything else.

We stayed here last year. The hotel was so convenient to the NEC just a 5 minute walk to the lift. The hotel was really comfortable and the staff were so friendly. The breakfast buffet was great. This hotel is a perfect place to visit the NEC. Will definitely go again next year.

Staff are kind and accomodating/ Rooms are clean and spacious

It was bit Nosy so unable to sleep.

Decent stay Great location for the arena which many restaurants and bars etc on local area. Only issue we had was that numerous slats under our bed were broken or loose and I needed to repair and move them to stop mattress falling through

Basic hotel, clean and comfortable, conveniently close to Birmingham airport for early morning flight.

Nothing exceptional. A decent airport hotel.

The location is ideal for both NEC as well as the airport, staff are top level too.

Reception was very helpful and breakfast was good. Hotel was very close to train station and NEC. The only complaint that the bed was not really comfortable, and as we had room for family of three, sofa-bed was very uncomfortable to sleep as we could feel the springs, and we had to ask for another quilt.

Ok hotel but they don’t have cots of any type.

Everything was great apart from extremely noisy air conditioning - started making dripping/ gurgling noises in the middle of the night. We had to switch it off! Then too warm so no real sleep was had which did not start our holiday off on the right foot. No staff on desk to tell when we left at 4.45 in the morning.

We were able to check-in a little bit early upon arrival. I'd previously completed an online check-in so it was very quick. The room was in good working order and as described. We had breakfast included in our rate. It was nice; there was a good selection and it was well worth having as there aren't any other options on the door step. This hotel is located perfectly for the NEC, Brimingham International station and Birmingham airport so perfect for business or holiday stops, though the rooms are not sound proof so you hear traffic. There is a price to pay for parking, but this would be super convenient if staying for an NEC event were the carparks seem to be quite a way away. The rooms don't have a safe. No surprise as it isn't included in the room description, but there is apparently a safe at reception if needed. That might be the only consideration people might want if they're travelling with documents and tickets, but otherwise, this is a really great option & a good price in the scheme of things.

The stay waa swift and check out was easy.

I was attending TF Nation at the Hilton as I have done every year it has been there but this year I got fed up of the Hiltons gouging and decided to give the Ibis a try. I am so glad I did, for starters it was a lot cheaper than the Hilton with a nicer room in a much quieter hotel. It was very clean throughout and the breakfast room was a delight as it was mostly empty both mornings and I walked in and got what I wanted straight away with ease. With the breakfast itself I do have some complaints, the range of options does not compare and the bacon was overdone being chewy rather than crisp. The major downside to staying here for TFN is the twenty minute walk to the Hilton for the event, should you forget something it's then a forty minute round trip and it is nearly always blazing hot when TFN is on. If you can live with that or just want more money in your pocket for the show itself then the Ibis is an excellent option. Also of note, to me at least is that they have a small row of car charging points right outside their front door so if you have an EV this is again a great option for next time.

Rooms were cleaned and tidied daily. Breakfast was great and staff very friendly and helpful. Plenty of choices.
