Terrible Experience – Would Not Recommend I normally don’t write hotel reviews—positive or negative—but this experience was exceptional in the worst way and deserves to be shared. In over 20 years of international travel across 40 countries, I have never encountered such poor hospitality. I booked Point A Hotel at King’s Cross, London, through Expedia. Knowing that my flight from Singapore would land early (6 a.m.), I emailed the hotel in advance to request early check-in. The reply stated that early check-in would be possible if available and would cost an extra £15—fair enough. I was also told I could drop off my luggage at any time. When I arrived at the hotel around 7:30 a.m., I was told early check-in was not possible (which I understood), but I was shocked to be told I would have to pay by the hour just to leave my bag. I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels across the globe, and I have never encountered a hotel charging guests to store luggage before check-in. After a long 14-hour flight, I had to argue with the front desk for 30 minutes just to leave my bag. Eventually, they agreed—but made it feel like they were doing me a favor. It didn’t end there. For the first two days, my room wasn’t cleaned. There was a small sign in the room saying cleaning would be done on the 4th day, unless requested. So, I went to the front desk to request it—only to be told that daily cleaning required an extra payment. Nowhere on the sign was this mentioned. When I pointed that out, I was

We booked a room with windows. However, the front desk gave us a room without a window and told us the hotel was fully booked.

Very incompetent staff on reception this time - took far too long to check in

This is a very nice hotel. My short stay was very pleasant. The bed was comfortqable and the bathroom had lots of hot water. I would certainly stay here again

The room was small, but when all we needed was a clean bathroom, a comfortable bed, and walkable location to Kings Cross, it was perfect. The Water Rat next door had delicious fish n chips and cold beer. What else could we ask for?

Aside of this disease whereby it feels like to have a conversation costs money it was OK. The POLICY (staffs favourite word) to charge for storing luggage or even going in your room early is a huge negative, £3 to 5 seconds work, outrageous

Decent hotel very close to Kings Cross. Easy access from here by tube and bus across London. Good food and pubs nearby. Clean,, friendly hotel. Rooms okay size if you just wanting somewhere to sleep. Comfy bed and showers etc good.

Space was small Emasculate and clean

It was very nice for my daughter and I to stay at the hotel on our short visit in London.

The sraff are excellent. Excellent customer service. They are wiilling to assist and give information. The near proximity to the train stations and buses are a plus. . I would recommend this property.

The most impersonal check-in we’ve ever experienced. We tried to regulate the room temperature but to no avail. Unfortunately, we are booked at this hotel on our return.

Cute, easy, comfortable hotel conveniently located by Kings Cross and St. Pancras International stations, tasty and plentiful breakfast with a minimal staff interaction.
