Worst. place. ever. Avoid this place at all cost! There is no reception after 7.30pm, you need to walk 15 minutes to another hotel to get the key. Imagine doing this at midnight like we did! And no mention of this beforehand except for the small print in the booking notes that no one can find! There is no lift. This is not even mentioned anywhere, shocking! And the room, wow I see dorm room better and bigger than this. We had three luggages and can only open two of the big ones at any point of time. And one of them has to be opened at the kitchen area cause there’s not just not enough space to open two at the bedroom area. The bathroom is tiny. I’m a small size by uk standard and my elbow hits the walls whenever i’m navigating through the shower room. There's no place to put any toiletries stuff at the shower area. And you can put it only by the handle of the shower and good luck if you dropped anything. And unless you have very agile toes, or really good at squats (i'm talking about proper squat that doesn’t go beyond your toe here, cause there’s simply no room enough for anything beyond that!), your stuff is gone my friend. The sink is kid size. The room is stuffy if you don’t turn on the fan. But when we did turn on the fan, the full force of dust washed over us. The fan hasn’t been cleaned in ages! You can only get decent air if you open the window, but the noise from the street level is just amazing. Without opening the window, you can hear the whole conversations by the road, every car and carts that passed by, and we’re on the 3rd floor! There’s no sound proofing whatsoever. You can also hear the neighboring rooms’ quite clearly, like when they turned the knob, walked the hallway. At night, I can hear the sound of snores coming out of other guests rooms. Oh, and the whole place vibrates when the tube passed by. There’s no light blocking curtain too so if you’re sensitive to light, you just have to wear eye mask the whole night. The bed is slightly smaller than queen size, even for two females, there’s not enough space between us. The bed sunk when you move, it’s a springy kind of bed but mind you is not a spring bed! That’s not even the worst part, the lights, except for the restroom one, stopped working on the 2nd night, we called the reception (which of course is not at the hotel cause it’s after 7.30pm) and he mentioned it’ll be fix the next day but it wasn’t! When we called the 3rd night in, the guy who picked up the phone was stand off-ish and said to me, well it was supposed to be fix. And I said well it wasn’t. We also went to reception to notify them of the light issue, in the afternoon, and nobody was there. And the restroom light (our only light left!) started to flicker on the 3rd day. When you hit rock bottom, they say everything will seem better. But the place just never fail to surprise us everyday. We’re starting to make a guessing game out of it, like what will happen next. This is probably the only entertaining part about this place. We’ve traveled around the uk and had booked a place as convenient, cheap with as good location as this, in london, that is far better than this place. Recommend this place if you want to prank someone, or if you hate someone real bad. I would give zero rating if I could.
