It’s certainly old, but really needs an upgrade. Windows don’t open, room too warm and limited ability to control this. It should be clearer that they have no lifts, and multiple levels. It was okay but we wouldn’t stay again.

We loved our stay here. It’s a beautiful hotel with attentive staff. The breakfast options were varied and well done. Parking on site at a reasonable rate was also a bonus. We will be visiting again.

I liked staying in a interesting building almost adjacent to the Cathedral.
My only complaint would be that bath towels were decidedly skimpy.

Beautiful Hotel. excellent, polite, friendly and helpful staff, Restaurant food was not really anything to write home about, breakfast buffet was good. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back 👍

3rd floor room, on front, road noise was very evident at all hours ... could also here other guests returning from being out at 4 am in the morning. And neighbours tv on early morning and late evening , so could improve with better sound proofing , we would stay again as it was a nice comfortable stay and it was a lovely breakfast. Thank you

Beautiful classy hotel in a great location.
Friendly and helpful staff, you even get a free ride around the City in a vintage Bentley. Would definitely stay here again.
Only complaint was the pillows, but this criticism can be levelled at most hotels, I guess they can’t use feather pillows for allergy reasons. Note to self, Will bring my own next time!

Perfect hotel and location for visiting the city. Riverside, bars, restaurants, shops, castle and cathedral all within walking distance. It was my husband's birthday and a card was left for him in our room which was thoughtful. A great selection at breakfast. Lots of cosy seating areas around the hotel to sit and recharge. Thanks 😊

Staff very helpful and friendly. Room was very clean and comfortable with air conditioning and a large walk in shower. My room was attended to every day without having to ask. Breakfast had a higher choice and something for everyone. I’m staying again next week.

We had a one night stay as we was visiting Norwich. We have stayed before and found the hotel very nice. We did'nt book breakfast on this stay as we feel breakfast does let them down in this area. We did use the bar area on arrival for a couple of drinks before going back to our room to get ready for our evening out. We love the old look bar which resembles a pub. We arrived at about 10am and check in is 3pm. They put our bags in storage and we went to get something to eat. About 1:30 we returned to check on the room. It was ready and they had already moved our bags to the room. The room was well serviced each day.

The hotel is lovely. The rooms are very good and the heating system is simple to use.the staff are all lovely.
Breakfast could be improved. The cooked breakfast is buffet style and the products they use seem great quality but as it’s all in warming trays, it’s actually cold or lukewarm at best. Thus hotel would be perfect if the breakfast was cooked for you rather than dive buffet style.
