The Maids Head Hotel

Very nice hotel. Stayed there twice now. The breakfast had wide variety and well prepared layout. Excellent service and comfortable.

Staff were fab, brekkie was 10/10.

Receptionist at front desk was highly professional and polite.

After booking our stay for our anniversary I enquired with the booking team to see if I could drop our luggage off early to try and keep it as a surprise for my wife. They were amazingly accommodating and even moved the bag to the room before our arrival later in the evening. On arrival we found out that we had been upgraded, an amazing surprise that made our stay even more special. We found our room with towel swans, rose petals and a hand written card from the team. Such lovely touches! The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. There is a little wear and tear if you look closer but it really doesn't detract from the character of the room or property overall. The bathroom is spacious with a lovely rainfall shower, his & hers sinks although it does get steamy as there is no extraction fan. For a single night stay it couldn't have been better and the team at the hotel always go above and beyond to make sure your stay is as amazing as you hope it will be. Checkout was simple, dropping the room key into a box on the counter, when asked our room number we were told we had a overnight parking charge despite not having a vehicle with us but on explanation this was quickly waved. We couldn't be happier with our experience and would happily stay again if we wanted to stay centrally in Norwich!!

Lovely clean room with great shower.

Great location and friendly staff. However, temperature of room could not be controlled properly and therefore too warm and poor sleep as a result.

Only thing that let it down was the matress in our room 301... its completely worn out. Didnt sleep well at all. Needs replacing asap .

Great location, Very clean and reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking was very easy !

Very small room , the room was close to the extraction fan outlet for the kitchen that was noisy from the early hours of the morning and throughout the day / evening. Staff polite , hotel condition was generally good however there was a flood near the breakfast room that was being fixed during breakfast . Fire alarm did go off a twice but only for short periods

Lovely hotel, near the river and the cathedral, really close to the Playhouse, would definitely recommend and visit again

We had a lovely stay - can not fault the staff we had a slight problem with room (bath in room is not for us and mattress a bit old) but was sorted immediately and with no fuss - thank you

Excellent location, value and quality hotel!

As expected for an overnight stay. Paid Expedia rate for standard room so wasn’t expecting great, not was it. Very small dark room with small window overlooking back and extractor fans which were noisy. Bed - a double- not that comfy nor were pillows. Breakfast was ok. Parking £8. Hotel next to Spoons pub so a bit of late night noise. Wouldn’t make me rush to return to ve fair but it was ok.
