Clean room, friendly staff, etc

I had a wonderful stay at Best Western Plus Pearl Addis! The facility was very clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, and I especially want to give a big shout-out to Martha, who prepared and served Gebena buna (traditional Ethiopian coffee) every morning—it was a real highlight of my stay. The only area for improvement would be the air circulation in the bathroom. Since the air conditioning works with the key card, there was sometimes an unpleasant smell when the system wasn’t running. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would definitely stay here again!

I stayed at Best Western Plus Pearl Addis Ababa with my wife for a long stay (23 days) . While the location is safe and the housekeeping was good, I experienced two incidents that left me extremely disappointed. First, upon check-in, I paid the full amount for my entire stay in advance. On the day of my departure, a staff member at reception told me I had to pay an additional USD 26 due to a change in the Ethiopian birr exchange rate. I explained that I had already paid in full at the original rate and that currency fluctuations are not the guest’s responsibility. After an unnecessary argument, he finally allowed me to leave without paying. This situation was frustrating and unprofessional, and it should never have happened. Second, the head chef was particularly unfriendly. On one occasion, I came for breakfast at 9:55 am (breakfast ends at 10:00 am), and instead of welcoming me, he rudely told me to come earlier next time. This attitude was not only unpleasant but also unprofessional, especially for long-staying guests like us. That day, my wife and I ended up ordering food at our own expense because of the chef’s behaviour. Overall, despite staying for a long period and paying a significant amount, these experiences left me feeling unwelcome. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously to improve guest service and professionalism in the future.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was convenient for exploring the city, and the free breakfast was delicious. I'd definitely stay here again.

Overall the hotel staff was friendly and courteous, however, the hotel does need some renovations and upgrading in terms of room facilities. The door to the room and the safe box were not working properly throughout my stay. The staff did their best to rectify the problem.

The staff were amazing and everyone was helpful. The room was wonderful, the restaurant was outstanding and good breakfast. The service was always with a smile. I highly recommend.

The BW Pearl plus its a very good hotel but the real difference is at the attention. The front desk is amazing. The hotel location is amazing near what you need in Addis. For sure when I return i stay there again.

We spent last night at the Best Western in Bole and had a wonderful tom. We were picked up on their shuttle bus and we're leaving the next morning on a domestic flight. We were very frazzled and the staff was so comforting and friendly. The morning breakfast was outstanding as well. Everyone was very hospitable and helpful. Thank you.

Hotel is very good but location not convenient for loading and unloading. Will give it 90% satisfactory.

The service and personnel at this facility is absolutely excellent. The beds are the "best in Ethiopia" :-) A hotel with value for money close to Addis airport.

The staff is very attentive and friendly. The dining room is lovely and provides a nice ambiance. Breakfast buffet is very good. Shower was hot and did not leak outside of shower onto bathroom floor. The bad was very comfortable. I could control the air temperature in the room which was very nice. Lots of places to sit and visit with guests. Great location.
