Very good hotel for an overnight stop for the ferry to Portsmouth, which is all we’ve done there. We’re probably make time in future to stay longer.

Building has history as was a major feature during the D Day landings. Directly opposite the site of the old Casino (now replaced with a new Casino) and with a view of the beach.

Clean. Helpful staff. Rather faded. 3rd floor without a lift could be a struggle for some. No bath mat, dangerous climbing into bath for a shower.

An attractive building in a historic location (the Kieffer commando attack on the Casino Bunker on 6 June 1944 took place just in front of the hotel). Well situated for the ferry from England, the Riva Centre bus stop (TWISTO 12 to Pegasus Bridge - limited service - and Caen - good service, NOMAD 121 - at least in summer, albeit a limited service - westwards), both museums in Ouistreham, Carrefour supermarket, a very good restaurant across the road (La Voile Blanche), other restaurants, memorials, etc. Very good value, good breakfast if required, pleasant staff, a bar (with several beers from a local microbrewery). Recommended.

This hotel is conveniently situated right on the sea front. It is a small family run hotel in a historic old building. We were on a motorcycling tour of France and Spain and this was our first stop, (visiting Sword and Gold Beaches). There is no elevator so the three story climb with the luggage was a bit of a struggle after a day in the saddle, and no air conditioning on what was a hot day. Our room was also very small. However the purpose of the visit was to pay respects on Sword beach at 07:30 the next morning and the hotel was perfectly situated for that.

Only stayed for one night to catch the early morning ferry but it was a very pleasant stay in a lovely hotel. The reception was very welcoming and efficient, the room was very comfortable with a stunning outlook across the beach and beyond. Very convenient for the ferry.

Lovely old property. Very central for restaurants and beach, etc. Nice room with a lovely view over the garden. Ideal for Caen ferry, which was only a few minutes by car. Staff were very pleasant. No shower gel in the dispenser.

An old hotel with uneven stairs and no lift. We stayed here the night before an early ferry departure, and suited our needs well but it was a bit shabby. The room and pillows didn't smell very fresh, but we opened the windows before going out for dinner, and it was much improved on our return. Spare pillows in cupboard were much better than ones on bed.

The booking for this hotel was confirmed. When I arrived early pm about 7,30 i was informed the hotel was full . They could not explain why the booking was confirmed. It was difficult for me to find a hotel at this time of night. I was very annoyed, tired

Very pleasant stay, room tight but adequate with a view towards the beach. Car parking secure behind electric gates. Enjoyed a very nice breakfast in a well decorated dining room, ham and cheese, croissants and bread, coffee and tea all self service.

This is an original building that was on the beaches of Normandy in 1944 and before, and suffered damage from off shore gun fire from Allied Ships on the day of the assault. The building is now a quaint hotel with a family owned hotel. We enjoyed our stay as we made a visit to all that is available in the area. All provided gave us a relaxing stay.

This hotel was opposite the beach, however the room was really small and we found it to be really expensive for what they offered. There was no bottle of water in the room, shampoo/body wash was basic and parking was an extra €7 too.

We wouldn't have stayed if we'd had accurate information. The hotel is very handy for the beach and in a great old building with a lot of history, but it's very run down and more like a hostel than a hotel. The information in the listing isn't accurate. There's no communal tea / coffee, toiletries / shuttle bus service / pool, etc. It might be that other rooms are better but we could hear every little cough & noise from the neighbouring room and staircase.

Lovely stop near to the port, rooms were small but clean and just what we needed. We parked but did reserve this ahead of time. Appreciated that the hotel allowed our late arrival due to a delayed ferry

Perfect location near the beach and restaurants. Normandy villa with a garden and lounge chairs. Possibility to park inside the property. The corridor is outdated but clean. Room and bathroom are a bit small. No shampoo. Sea view and quietness appreciated.
