I was on a road trip from the UK to Roth in Germany and stayed just the one night. The room was big and the bathroom was spotless really good powerful shower. I had a meal in the evening that was lovely as was breakfast. I struggled with my German but the staff were helpful speaking English. The surrounding area isn't great and close by are KFC McDonald's if you like their food. Train to Köln is a short walk away

We chose on price and received excellent value. Although outside of cologne the rail station is close and a regular service.
