This place was excellent. Loved the 3 nights stay at Royal Hotel. Very nice and helpful staff, well-appointed rooms and amenities. The breakfast buffet was excellent.

Dog barking all night outside.
Twice we have been no spoons to stir coffee in room.

Nice Hotel in nested in the Thessaloniki airport Foothills. it is a nice property with great views of the bay and the city of Thessaloniki. it could improve substantially if the premises offer a free shuttle back and forth to the airport. it would make the stay for travelers more convenient.

Bus stops just down the road easy access to the Ikea centre for good shopping and nice restaurants, Bohème is right on the water and a great place to eat.

The Royal Hotel is fairly convenient to Thessaloniki Airport, a 10-15 min taxi ride that costs about 20-25 Euros. Getting there does require a bit of a crazy turn around due to poor street planning. Staff were friendly, breakfast was fabulous, the area was quiet. For me, the bed was a bit soft, but I like a hard bed. The beach and Peraia are close, but you will need a car or taxi to get there. Driving to Thessaloniki is about 25-30 min.
Overall, this is a great place to spend a night coming or going to the area around Thessaloniki, but not really a destination in and of itself. I believe it was good value for one night near the airport.
