Sofitel Athens Airport

Thoroughly enjoyed my overnight stay. Friendly staff. Facility is classy. Comfy bed and pillows. Rain shower. High quality soaps, lotion. Great food and drink. Plenty of space. Didn’t feel crowded. Lovely buffet breakfast. Literally a few steps from Athens airport. Can’t beat it. Highly recommend.

This is an incredible hotel for an overnight stopover between flights! The room was spacious, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was OVER THE TOP lovely with a soak tub within the walk-in shower. The best part of the room is that the walls are solid enough to prevent any airline sounds, and the blackout shade was perfect for a dark room. We enjoyed two of the hotel restaurants, but sadly, we were not permitted to enjoy the rooftop patio for dinner because of "wind." Yet, we saw people dining out there, so we wondered if the hostess was trying to avoid overseating the patio area. That was a shame, as the rooftop patio was one reason we were excited to visit the hotel. In general, we highly recommend this hotel! It saved us from having to venture out to the surrounding area to find a hotel, and it was a truly lovely visit.

We have stayed here several times the night before a flight home to the States. It’s easy to take the train or a cab into Athens if you have time. The nicest part is the staff, very very kind. Our plane home was delayed for six hours and they were able to arrange a late checkout for our three rooms. One more thing, no need for shuttles to various terminals, the hotel is right across the street from Aegean, United, and many other airlines. Good breakfast too.
