A lovely rural hotel in the parish of St. Martin, about 10 minutes drive from the airport and 15-20 minutes from St. Peter Port. Located on narrow, winding roads, the hotel provides an excellent base for exploring the island. Reception is friendly, efficient and knowledgeable, rooms are nicely decorated, beds are comfortable, and bathrooms with walk-in shower are spotless. Efficient and capable staff freshen up the room each day. There is a pool and a large sitting area outside (but not in use due to inclement weather during our stay). As for clientele, La Barbarie appears to have a loyal following of older seniors who return annually. The hotel has ample parking and is serviced by a local bus that runs past the property.

We were fortunate to have an upgrade to the poolside rooms, which were lovely. The room and hotel were clean, the staff were friendly and courteous and the evening meal and breakfast for myself was perfect.
My wife is a little picky so had to order off menu, but the staff tried to accommodate her request.

Comfortable stay in cosy double room. All staff very friendly and attentive. We rented a car for convenience which was nice to have for going to and from the airport and for visiting some beaches. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which offers frequent (and cheap) transport into Saint Peter Port. Would return to this hotel without hesitation.

Our room was on ground floor - best described as clean but a little compact - space between dressing table and end of bed was tight and drawing curtains challenging behind tv and dressing table area. Beds were comfortable and bathroom bright and clean.

Excellent food, very clean with good daily room service, very pleasant staff.
Only downside is access to the separate accommodation block. There are 8 very steep steps, then for upstairs rooms a staircase with curves meaning it is difficult to take suitcases up.

From start to finish I received excellent customer service. Great communication when I booked the hotel. All staff are very welcoming and friendly. Hotel is beautiful and very modern and clean. Restaurant was lovely and amazing food. Great location to start and finish a walk and very close to the airport.

Lovely hotel with very friendly & attentive staff. Comfortable, spacious room with a view of the garden & pool. Stayed for 4 nights in May, the pool is heated and was warm enough for refreshing swim! Plenty of loungers around the pool area too. Top quality dinners in the restaurant, lots of choice at breakfast.
