The Yau Ma Tei Yesinn has changed quite a lot since I stayed there a long time ago. The location remains the same, very close to the MTR and a lot of local markets (Temple Street Night Market, Jade Market, Fruit Market, etc.). It's still a decent hotel, especially for a quick stay, but the condition has definitely seen better days and the cleanliness could be better too.

Love this place, Staff was friendly, Helpful , Also I love that place has kitchen, even though Hong Kong is the place to enjoy a street food, still you want to cook something that get from tradition market. PS : Even they offer free Tea and Coffee!

Leaky faucet and moldy ceiling. Broken sliding bathroom door which does not close. Convenient location. Tiny room. Common area is decent and lively.
Asked staff if they can help me conduct flight online check in using the front desk computer and staff declined, not sure if that is their internal policy.

The hotel is very dirty, they only change bedsheets when u ask them to and it causes our whole family to have rashes.We called them and ask them to do room service but they only do the day after, after going back to Singapore,my grandmother needed to go for skin checkup.They dont pack the bed everyday,and their service very bad.We booked family room but they gave us sperate room,those room are for international university students to stay in,they ppl there say that she emailed us but we didnt recive it at all.

I was looking forward to visiting Hong Kong for a few days, but the supertyphoon meant that my flight there was cancelled. I had to travel a couple of days after I had planned and the hostel would not alter my dates or give a refund. It seemed rather harsh!

The staff in the hostel are very professional. Overall, I was very satisfied with the hostel. I just wish the bed wasn't so loud, as I had to be cautious with my every move not to disturb the neighbours.
