Emerald Hotel Timika

The hotel is Good For transit, close too street food, supermarket and New Airport (Batik Air, Lion Air & GA).

I checked out 10 minutes after arriving. I refused to stay any longer than it took me to book another hotel. The facilities were non-existent. The hallways were dirty, the room was big, but had nothing. No fridge, the air conditioner was leaking, the phones did not work, and the sheets were stained. Floors in the room and bathroom were clean however, and the staff were friendly. But this hotel is definitely not worth the price. I checked into another hotel immediately, cheaper, cleaner, with better facilities. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

The hotel located 10 minutes drive from airport. The check in process was smooth and the staff was polite. The room and bathroom was clean. They provide basic amenities such as soap, shampoo and toothbrush only. The towels were clean. The hot water worked and the air conditioner was in good condition. The room service provided sufficient options of foods and beverages; The order must be conducted using whatsapp messenger. The price was unfortunately almost twice the regular price in restaurant, but considering the convenience it provided, I thought it was fair, especially it was better to stay in the hotel during the night in Timika (due to recent events). It was so contrast with the breakfast situation; During my stay, the breakfast was so unsatisfying. The hotel didn't provide airport pick up or drop off which I thought became such a hassle since most of flights out of Timika departed in the morning. From the airport to the hotel, you need motorcycle rent (Ojek) with price IDR 30,000 or with rental car with price IDR 150,000.
