Greenhost Boutique Hotel

Greenhost is one of those hotels I keep coming back to, and for good reason. I've stayed here a couple of times now, and it remains one of my top choices whenever I'm in Yogyakarta. The location is a big plus, just a short walk from Prawirotaman Street, which has a great selection of cafes, restaurants, and bars perfect for a relaxed evening out. The rooms are not the largest, but they are well-maintained, clean, and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Nothing feels dated or out of place. What really sets Greenhost apart, though, is the staff – genuinely friendly, warm, and always helpful. It's the kind of service that makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Would definitely recommend and will be back!

All the hotel staff are friendly, professional, and well-groomed! The hotel area is clean, with a separated smoking area, which is another plus point. Highly recommended for this hotel. Strategic area, clean hotel premises, high standard hospitality from all the staff. One of the reasons to come back to Yogyakarta.

Simplicity at its best! Greenhost Boutique Hotel is architecturally a simple concrete structure, elevated by the thoughtful integration of lush greenery along its corridors and exterior walls, giving the building the appearance of a neatly trimmed green haircut. The extensive planting, including aromatic mint species that I suspect help deter mosquitoes, together with natural scents and soothing background music, creates a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. The open lobby seamlessly connects the indoor and outdoor spaces, enhancing the sense of openness and ventilation. The central atrium is particularly calming, providing a pleasant visual buffer that prevents direct views into guest room entrances while allowing natural light to filter through the building. The room itself was comfortable, with a cozy bed and pillows that ensured a restful stay. What stood out most was the attention to detail throughout the property, from the creative reuse of glass bottles and old electric water heaters as plant pots to the overall quality of maintenance. The hotel is clearly well cared for, and every element appears thoughtfully considered. A memorable stay that successfully combines simple architecture, sustainability, and biophilic design to create a unique and refreshing guest experience.
