Hotel Ikhlas

I had made several requests upon booking, and they responded perfectly to what I requested. Not to mention the distance to the airport: you can walk on foot due to its close proximity. Overall it was a pleasant place to sleep.

This hotel was a good choice for a short transit stay. The room was quite comfortable, both for AC room and fan room. When you stay alone, it's cheaper. Worth the price.

Close to the airport so convenient, clean room, have fan and cold shower, and a light breakfast. For the bad points: no soundproofing at all, mosquitoes everywhere in the room and the lobby, no sheet for the bed, no towel or soap.

Bed bugs and my fan couldn't rotate or point towards my bed. It was permanently pointed at the desk and chair.

The hotel was very dirty. The room didn't have toilet paper and smelled of sewer. The staff were nice though. The distance to the airport is not walking distance as we thought.

Full of mosquitoes, stains in the bathroom, no water in the shower. Bad breakfast.

Not sure where to start...the staff were useless they provided absolutely no information regarding transport to Kelimutu or anywhere else in that region. Even when we checked in there was no information about breakfast, the guy who checked us in basically his in his room and wasn't answering the door as we had questions regarding wifi. When we finally found him he picked up a scrapped piece of paper and gave it to us which we found that the password for WiFi was wrong. Although staff couldn't speak much English that's not an excuse as we've managed perfectly fine in other remote places with locals who speak little or no English. There was completely no regard to guests and they simply shrug their shoulders at any questions. It was lucky that some friendly Indonesians guy on our bus helped us with what he could as he spoke English. Saying that he wasn't even from that area as he was passing through and he still went out of his way to help. Breakfast - pathetic 2 white pieces of toast with half a teaspoon of chocolate spread. Room - horrendous, hotter inside the room than outside temperature even with the fan on. Dirty with termites and ants infestation, we were both covered in bites the next day! The positives - abnormally they served decent black coffee and location was good. Although not too far from tourist sites you cannot rely on help from the hotel you need to go out and ask and bargain with people. The airport is literally walking distance and there are some decent places to eat along the way. We can ramble on forever about the faults of this place. Its not worth the cheap room rate, just pay a bit more and get a place where staff actually don't shrug you off.
